I shopped at other Subaru dealers and felt uncomfortable

I shopped at other Subaru dealers and felt uncomfortable at them. Not at Bertera in W. Springfield — despite being a single woman buying my car alone for the first time, I felt very at ease with everyone here and the environment. I was never pressured or hassled and when I asked for more time or space, it was granted, no side-eye or questions. I worked through the transaction at my own pace and felt supported each step of the way. I felt respected too and, in the end, I felt like I got a fair price for the car I wanted. Starlyn worked with me and he was friendly, kind and warm. I would recommend the dealership based on my experience.

Everyone at Bertera Subaru were friendly, helpful, polite and extremely knowledgeable. Dee, my salesman was great to work with so I definitely would return for my next car purchase.

I did some pre-shopping for my daughter who was wanting

I did some pre-shopping for my daughter who was wanting to purchase a new car to replace her aging 2017 compass because her commute to and from school was quite lengthy. I expected the usual overbearing car sale experience, which I dreaded. I was paired with John Barrows to assist me in looking at the 2024 Impreza that I had looked at online prior to my arrival. . John was friendly, knowledgeable, and not pushy at all. I test drove the Impreza, and brought my daughter in the next day to drive the car. We agreed upon a price for the Impreza, and Rich and I were able to meet in the middle and negotiate a price for our trade in. I did not feel "low ballled" at all, dealing with Rich was a pleasure. We had a monthly payment budget in mind and were able to come in under our number with the help of the finance team. We hit a few snags with insurance transfers that threatened the timeline for which we needed the car. John went above and beyond came in on his day off to ensure that our timeline was met. Pick up day, a few scratches were noticed on the brand new vehicle, John was sure to make it right and had my daughter bring it back for a buffing. We also requested all weather mats which John delivered to us on his off time. I cannot say enough good things about John Barrows, I would be more than happy in the future to purchase from him if I needed a new car. I would also highly recommend John and the entire team at West Springfield Subaru for a car buying experience that is pleasant, and professional. 10/10 rating!

I recently purchased a 2025 Outback Premium.

I recently purchased a 2025 Outback Premium. I would have given this five stars if my new car came with a few complimentary oil changes and tire rotations... (ok, now the good stuff): I had an excellent, fantastic, stress-free experience, with Keith, my sales consultant. He was patient, kind, knowledgeable, and a prompt responder to my texts. He has a calm, fun personality that immediately put me at ease. Additionally, I also had a friendly, relaxed interaction with Conor, delivery specialist. And last, but not least, there's the person I had to sit with to complete the dreaded paperwork. Well, I had a pleasant surprise! Ryan was fantastic. His personality and demeanor made the paperwork experience painless. I highly recommend this dealership.

I can not say enough about my salesperson, Dee Finkel. 5/5 stars for her! I was nervous to go car shopping for the first time at a dealer because I'm a young woman, went alone, and was only in the market because my previous car was totaled. I'm grateful that I was paired with Dee. She went above and beyond in everything she did to ensure I was both happy and comfortable in my new-to-me 2021 Outback. She was honest, but not pushy; always communicative; and made car shopping fun. It was like shopping with a trusted friend. She came in on her day off to ensure my car would be ready for me and even scoured the used parts for a cargo cover since I mentioned I loved mine on my old 2007 Outback. If you are going to Bertera in West Springfield, ask for Dee! The sales manager, Rich, was also very kind when I first arrived. He only recommended cars within my comfortable price range and helped reduce the initial price tag of the Outback I purchased. He and Dee got as excited as me when we figured out that the car I loved fit within my budget. Dropping a star because I had a few bumps in my purchasing overall, however, they were not my salesperson's fault.

We started off not even sure we were ready to buy a car,

We started off not even sure we were ready to buy a car, and Starlin accepted that He helped us with that decision....no sales pitch, just being helpful and respectful to both my wife and myself as we independently explored the options. We found her special car, a "CrossTrek" and were able to negotiate a good, fair deal on the car and our trade, enough to make it worth driving back up from Maryland a week later to take delivery.
