Purchased a used 2015 Jeep Wrangler from them on 1/14/23

Purchased a used 2015 Jeep Wrangler from them on 1/14/23 that was on their lot for a little over a month. Drove it home and check engine light came on the next day, 1/15/23. Took the Jeep to Autozone for a check engine diagnosis and the code was a P0305 meaning misfire for cylinder 5. Took the Jeep back to Mcgrath on 1/16/23 and they gave me a loaner car as they "inspected" the issue. Was not kept in the loop until 1/20/23, was told they "replaced" the spark plug and injector, but the problem still persisted. Was told they may have to replace the engine with a used one. Left out of the loop until 1/25/23 and I had seen the Jeep parked in their back lot as I've driven by multiple times on I-90. Called multiple times but got the run around until we finally got a hold of the Used car sales manager. He informed me that they do not want to fix the engine issue and they will just buyback the vehicle and cancel the contract. This would leave us without a vehicle and multiple credit hits. We never actually agreed to them buying back the vehicle, they just took it upon themselves that that was the solution. It also makes you wonder how many of their other used cars on their lot have similar issues. The fact that they sold the car even though they most likely knew about its issues is concerning. Did not receive a single apology or anything for inconvenience either, quite disappointing from a reputable corporation.

Hello apparently the warranty McGrath sold to me (Ethos warranty co. ) was not as good as they professed its been 2 weeks and counting and they have yet to make a decision on a covered repair !!

Perfect Vehicle, great salesperson!

My sales person Alex Valdez was great! I thought he would give up on me because I was very picky and expected alot. I had resigned myself to keeping my current car, but then he found me the perfect vehicle and I love it! All in all it was a pleasant experience and I highly recommend McGrath Honda/Elgin. Just ask for Alex Valdez and he will work hard to find you what you want!

Bait and switch dealer; an embarrassment to Hond

If I could give them negative stars I would. This Honda dealership works in deception and price gouging. I called them about their gold 2018 Honda Accord that they were selling for $20,869. Katie gave me an out the door price of $23,204.22 with military discount. I told them that I would go look at it when I had a chance. I live very far away and had to make arrangements to get there. They then lowered the price on the website to $19999. I then spoke to Katie and told her I'd be there Saturday because I saw that they lowered the price. I called her again ahead of time on Saturday before I left and told her I'd be there in an hour. When I got there they had me speak To Sheki who then told me the car would need repairs and that it was not on sale for $19999. He said that it was for about $24000. I had a screenshot of the original price and showed him and he still claimed the price was 24000. He then went to get his manager Ray, who then told me that the price went up because the current market told them to do so. They totally wasted my time. They did not offer an apology or aything. They do not care about their customers, they know people are desperate because of what the pandemic did to the economy and theyre taking advantage. Stay away from this Honda dealership. They will waste your time and insult you. They told me my military discount was only $200. A real military discount is 10%! I attached the screenshot of the car so you can see the proof. They lowered the price to get me in there, then they raised it by $5000 and told me that the market made them do it. They are an embarasment to Honda. They do no stand for the the values Honda does.

I had a wonderful experience purchasing my very first

I had a wonderful experience purchasing my very first pre-owned car. Amazing service rep especially from Lance Sarangaya, McGrath manager & crew who help us. When we mentioned any concerns, he was quick to address them with no hesitation. Very straightforward and didn’t try to hide anything about vehicles, unlike most used lots. Worked with us when the price was a little out of our budget and overall a great guy. Definitely coming back here again.
