RAMSEY ACURA I had my oli change done and my oil filter

RAMSEY ACURA I had my oli change done and my oil filter was not changed, I spoke to Tom Sabiel service manager & Mark Renaldo service director & parts Manager I showed them the pics of my filter I marked with a sharpie, the pics were time stamped, the sad part is leaving the old filter on and Changing the oil and not the filter Contaminated the new oil why because what ever amount of old oil that was left in the Original filer mixed with the new engine oil. So I was told to have my wife get out of the car so they could bring it back into the shop.which I was reluctant to do. I said just give me the filter and I will change it when I get home. Tom said no I will watch the mechanic and make sure he does it and make sure he cleans it when he is done, which he did not clean it so Tom probably didn’t watch him , I checked when I got home with a light and I have oil all over the frame and the Axle boot now I have to put the car on ramps and clean it myself and I have all the pics to prove everything! Then my wife happened to be in the elevator with the mechanic and Manager, the mechanic was complaining the people (customers) have some nerve. I sure hope he was fired ! This is unacceptable and not forgiven ! This wasn’t the first time I had a problem, I bought all new black emblems from Ramsey Acura and set up a appointment with Jessie Arlington, brought my car in they did the emblems he came to me as said it’s free I was like thank you so much, then while driving home something clicked I said no one gives you anything for free so I checked the emblems when I got home and sure enough the rear truck lid emblem where the camera goes through was broken they pulled on it Assuming it was held on with double stick tape, Meanwhile, it was held on by two screws from inside the trunk but I guess the mechanic didn’t want to take the trunk apart seeing it was a two hour job alone so he pulled on it and broke it and tried to hide it with double stick tape again I took pics went to the dear and they ordered me a new Emblem which I had to drive back to the dealership once agin of many times, I drove around with temp tags for three months and they blamed it on DMV meanwhile other dealer had no problem getting plates, turns out the lady that handles that department was out sick. Sad part it I spent $55,000 on this car plus I bought $5,000 in upgrades and had them install them so over $60,000 ! I even had to buy a spare tire for the car and it comes as a two part kit costing over $500 but the manager said you have free towing so you don’t need it Really! Then I had to take the tire & rim to work to mount it! So will all of this Not even an apology to me or my wife from Assistant Service Manager Tom Sabiel or Parts & Service Director Mark Renaldo or anyone ! its really SAD that you can’t TRUST people today. I wonder how many other people have had this HAPPEN to them whether it was a part that was supposed to be changed or something being broken and hidden and not told about it. I have been in the industry 30 + years and I have never seen or experience anything like this before ! Months back half the work force left I wonder why ! I wish all the other customers the best ! My wife & I should be A+ customers seeing how all the money we spent, I just hope all the work I had done was done right ! George Michelle

I had an excellent experience in dealing with Norman

I had an excellent experience in dealing with Norman Gravino, He explained the deal (in fairness, a no-haggle offer through the c*stco auto program), incentives & fees with great clarity & courtesy, and was also quite helpful with a couple of issues that arose after the sale.

It was pure coincidence that while being in NY/CT/NJ for a month that I happened across Acura of Ramsey and a car I was interested in. I sent an inquiry on a Saturday and Elbio D’Onofrio replied (called me) shortly thereafter. After exchanging some pleasantries, I then asked to speak with the amiable General Sales Manager Justin Agamie. Justin promptly called me and we set up an appointment to meet the following Monday. A handshake and one hour later…BAM…I bought the car I was interested in. Yes, it’s that easy when dealing with professional, proficient and personable people like this!

I was neither in the market for a car nor did I need one

I was neither in the market for a car nor did I need one (another). There is the saying that everything happens for a reason, and I guess one of the reasons I did actually buy a car from Acura of Ramsey was the way I was treated (that and having the exact automobile I was interested in). Initially by Elbio D’Onofrio who thoughtfully replied to an inquiry I had made and then by the excellent General Sales Manager Justin Agamie. I’ve been in and out of dealerships for much of my life—I’m a car guy after all—and they are clearly not all created equal. Acura of Ramsey is a clear cut above and I could not recommend them more highly.

I've been meaning to write this for awhile.

I've been meaning to write this for awhile. We went to Acura of Ramsey to get a RDX after checking their stock online. We were met by Erica Grudinina. She was great. No pressure. She explained everything about the vehicle we were interested in. When the deal was done, Erika went over all the features of the car and helped us set up our phones and other features. I was a great experience dealing with Erika. Most times you feel beaten up. Not this time. Thank you Erika for all your help and keep smiling.

Buying a new car is stressful, because you are always

Buying a new car is stressful, because you are always afraid a dealer will lie through omission. Fortunately I didn't have that experience at acura of ramsey, as the salesman Norm was courteous enough to lie to my face. The short story: I asked for and was agreed to get black emblems for my new car. When the car came in, no black emblems(i get it, things happen). Discussed this with Norm, who would order the emblems, and have them put on when the plates came in. I initiated communication about the emblems and plates 2x in 3 weeks, which he then revealed the day before my plates expire that they would not be ordering emblems because i didn't pay for them yet. I came in ready to express my dissatisfaction with Norm, but when i walked in, he slinked to the back and had someone else hand me the plates. Pretty much this went from a sales story I happily told friends and family about my experience, to one I now bring up when discussing customer service nightmares. Kind of a weird flex to beat me out of a pre-promised 82 dollar piece of plastic when your livelihood thrives with positive word of mouth & online reviews, but here we are. 2/5 it's a very nice car, and I spoke to a friendly employee named Anthony and he had great demeanor and insight as I was leaving.

I traveled nearly 2 hours from my home in upstate NY to check out a used EV at Acura of Ramsey and it was worth every mile. Their inventory of used EVs was the best of any dealer I contacted, and they were helpful in every step of my search, giving me a very honest appraisal of the good (and less good) features of each car. I worked closely with Ashawn Savage and he was impressively accommodating of my schedule and needs. I moved on the look at a range of vehicles from 4 other dealers, but, in the end, went back to negotiate a great deal with Ashawn - principally because he treated me like a person in need and not just as another customer. He went out of his way to get me a very respectful final price and agreement, and made all the complications of the transaction so easy. And he worked fast so that my elderly dog didn't have to hang out and wait too long. I drove away feeling great about the entire process, including the price - not an experience I have often had with other car dealers. Many friends are now eyeing my new EV and I will send them all to see Ashawn when they are ready.
