Lack of attention to detail. Left black grease in the white leather interior of my car. Would have appreciated more meticulous work and caution. Unfortunately it’s the only Mazda dealer in my area.

Deceptive and Dishonest

My experience dealing with Russ Darrow Mazda Madison in regards to buying a new vehicle was the worst vehicle buying experience of my lifetime (over 50 years). The vehicle I was considering purchasing from them was at their Milwaukee dealership. A purchase price was advertised. I requested what amounted to a minor adjustment to the advertised price. I had several emails back and forth with salesman Dylan Marshall who indicated they would not honor my request for an addition to the vehicle that I believe would have cost them less than $200. He did indicate that the advertised price of the vehicle was the selling price. He then led me to believe they would honor what I was requesting. I then went into the dealership and test drove a similar vehicle. After this test drive I was still interested in the vehicle and went back to the office for further discussion. After about 30 minutes he came back with an offer that was more than $2,000 higher than the advertised price. Dylan along with Shaun Feldman who was apparently the manager on duty claimed that the advertised price included all possible incentives some buyers may qualify for. However, the available incentives that I didn’t qualify for total much less than the difference in price. In any event, if this was case they should have notified me when I first contacted them regarding the price of the vehicle. If I had known that was case I wouldn’t have spent time trying to negotiate a deal on the vehicle since I didn’t want to buy a new vehicle at this time unless I could get a good closeout deal on a 2019 model vehicle. I emailed the manager of the dealership next day and expressed my displeasure with my experience. I never heard back from him. The next day Dylan indicated he would call me. He still has not called me as of the time of posting which is 5 days after when he indicated he would call. If you doubt what is posted here take a look at the Better Business Bureau website. You will find many potential car buyers who indicated they had a similar bait and switch experience with Russ Darrow Mazda. I feel this dealership only cares about customers they will make a lot of money off. If you want a good deal, you won’t get one from this dealership. Since they bought out Don Miller they are using the fact they don’t have any direct competitors in Madison to try to make much money as they feel they can from Madison area purchasers of new Mazda vehicles. They were really dishonest in their dealings with me. In my book jacking the price up by more than $2,000 from the advertised price is totally outrageous. In looking at their inventory and pricing it appears to only want to sell you higher end trims of vehicles at the maximum price they think they can get. Whenever I have looked at their inventory they have never had any of the lowest trim of either the Mazda 3 or Mazda 6 at their Madison dealership. Madison desperately needs a new Mazda dealership. Madison area buyers interested in new Mazda vehicles (especially less expensive new vehicles) are poorly served by Russ Darrow Madison Mazda.

Great service

I bought a Mazda 3 which has had quite a few issues unfortunately, but Dan has gone above and beyond to make sure that all the issues we've found with the car have been addressed. He cares about doing the job right instead of just getting me out the door as quickly as possible.

Pleasant, Knowegeable, and Efficient

Was treated promptly and courteously from start to finish. Dan Bednarczyk, my service advisor, answered questions very knowledgeably. Work was completed ahead of time. My only less-than-positive comment is that the seat cushions in the waiting room are long past due for replacement.

Six years of Great Service

I have been taking my car here every 5000 miles for 6 six years for routine preventative maintenance, which equates to 30 trouble-free visits. 150,000 miles and still going strong with great technicians and communication. Thank you !!!.

Disappointed about a charge that I wasn't asked if I wanted them to address. Was approached, informing me that they recommended that my air filter be replaced. I said "I know" and they walked away. Had planned to take care of it when I left.

Great service center

This dealership is really personable and easy to work with. Setup an appointment to get wheel trim replace, took about half hour to replace and had them check on another problem to check out computer issue, was handled without issue.

I ran over a median and my vehicle didn't drive right. Service got me in, loaned me a car, ordered parts, made the repair, and got me back on the road in just a few days! I especially appreciated getting a courtesy loaner vehicle. This happened the during Thanksgiving week, and being without a vehicle would have been very inconvenient .

Service staff met me as I pulled in, and explained the possible situations they might encounter when replacing the broken mirror casing. Came to the waiting room after awhile to inform me how things were going and how much longer the repairs would take.
