Always happy after servicing my 100 series Land Cruiser
Always happy after servicing my 100 series Land Cruiser here. Am super picky about who works on my older (1999) vehicle. Scott Lindsay is my service manager, he goes above and beyond. Can't say enough good things about this service team. I go out of my way to get my vehicle serviced @ Thousand Oaks Toyota, even though there are at least 4 Toyota dealerships that are closer to my home. Dealership itself is a very comfortable place to wait for your car. They will shuttle you locally to another spot to wait for your car if you like. Just a great experience. 5 Stars!

Total chaos!
Total chaos!!! Was in contact with Kenneth and agreed to go in to reserve a car, when I got there after driving for 2 hours he was not there! Had Chris and Leann try to help out with my order. Long story short, took time off work , drove another 2 hours and come to find out that the wrong car was ordered! Unbelievable!!! They sell cars and they could not get that right. Leann then went to get a manager to assist and when he came out , he greeted another customer by my name (another episode of confusion) This person, while he tried to help in his own way, tried to sell me another car in the wrong color and then offered to sell me another car with the wrong specs for a mere 2 k less (though I"m paying over 5 k for "market adjustment"). I did not give them my business. Avoid the confusion, chaos, and save your gas by going somewhere else-my opinion.

Very rude and unprofessional.
Very rude and unprofessional. Communicated with Jennifer for a week, made an appointment to see a vehicle, arrived at the scheduled time and Jennifer couldn't find the car as it was not on the lot. Staff didn't seem to care that I'd driven 41 miles to see the car. Jennifer denied we had an appointment even though I had the text to prove it. GM got involved and was just a rude, tattooed bully who continued to berate me for being rude to his inconsiderate staff and threatened not to see me a car. So I left. They had no regard for their customers or the customers time. Skip this place and their rude, inconsiderate staff. The bully GM should be fired too. What a poor representation for a Toyota dealer.

I was referred to the dealer by Costco and the sale was handled by a brand new unsupervised salesperson unacquainted with the Costco pricing system. We were not informed that the pricing was not the Costco price and a service contract was added to the price. We were able to cancel the service agreement and were promised calls from a sales manager which never happened despite numerous calls and messages. Very disappointing sale and very poor customer support.

-They didn’t warn me I had a nail in my tire or offer to remove it. I realized a few days after my service they never gave me the inspection report and when I asked for it, it mentioned for the first time the nail (after I’d driven 10 hours on the highway not knowing this and risking a flat tire). I asked if I should leave it in or have it removed and was not give a reply. I had to get it removed and my tire patched somewhere else. --Today (Nov. 22, 2021) they refused to give me my last free oil change that they the week before said I would get when I spoke to a service advisor when scheduling my appointment. Today they mentioned for the first time that my 24 months of free service only included 2 oil changes and they would not honor what they told me the week before on the phone. They admitted when they called me 6 months ago (May 2021) saying I needed my oil changed (said then I needed it every six months even though my car said it wasn’t due to Oct. 2021) that I didn’t actually need it changed in May so I wasted what ended up being my last free oil change when I didn’t need one yet. --Twice I brought my car in to have the navigation system fixed. The first time they told me they fixed it but obviously hadn’t even test driven it to test it out since it didn’t work on my way home and this time told me they couldn’t fix it. --They previously told me they rotated my tires and then during a later visit when I asked for another tire rotation they said they didn’t rotate my tires since the tires aren’s supposed to be rotated for my car. --When I bought my car they said the navigation system would start working withing 24 hours, when it didn’t I had to keep calling for help, and then they had me drive back to the dealership to get it activated in person only to find out the dealership hadn’t bothered to request the activation code they needed to activate my navigation system and which took 24 hours to get so they I had wasted my time driving there.

Trust nothing they say
Don’t let these guys waste your time. Go somewhere else if you can. They sold a car that that i negotiated to buy before I could even give them the down payment. I went on a Thursday evening with my brother to look at a car. The first deal they offered was a mess and the interest was laughably high. I was sitting on a pre approved offer. I waited to see what they could do. Their interest was 3x that. We finally got close to a deal after a bit of back and forth but it wasn’t quite where I wanted it so we left. Before I could leave they came to my door with a manager, Jacob, and tried once again. We couldn’t reach an agreement. The next day (Friday) two different people from the dealership (Nate & Ron) reached out to see if they could change my mind. I was heading to the airport and I let them know if they got me close to my terms, they had the sale. We came to a deal, everything was set and done with over the phone. Nate called to congratulate me on the sale was I was waiting to go through TSA. He asked about my arrival on Monday morning so he could have the car cleaned and ready to go. He was aware that I was at the airport and would be back promptly Monday morning. I gave him my flight arrival time and they knew where I was driving from. I also asked WAS THERE ANYTHING that needed to be done to SECURE the car in the meantime just to be safe (paying the down payment over the phone, signing the contract digitally, whatever) and Nate, the manager I spoke to and completed the deal with told me it was all good to go and to bring the down payment and sign the contracts on Monday afternoon. We spoke a little more about details and I was ready to take care of everything that Monday. NOT EVEN TWO WHOLE DAYS LATER I got a text from Ron letting me know that the car was sold to someone else. I wasn’t even given a chance to sign paperwork or give them any form of payment. They told me it was fine and the car would be ready Monday. I never received any communication from Nate. I know that dealerships won’t hold cars but if I had already agreed to the sale and was willing to pay via digital transfer or something else, then why wasn’t I allowed to just do that? Why waste my time trying to get my sale? I was already looking at other dealerships. People like this only keep the slinky car salesman cliche going. It was an entire waste after being pursued by these guys and finally coming to agreement and then turning around to undo it without even allowing me to buy the car I wanted to actually buy. If you have the option, try to go somewhere else. These folks aren’t worth your time and energy.

The service department is corrupt. They tacked on a $600 calibration charge a week later on the invoice after charging $400 to inspect the car. Very shady. i tried to ask where the $400 charge was coming from and my service advisor ignored/blocked me. When i went to pay the senior service advisor told me that $400 included recalibration. How is that possible when my bumper is not even on the car. Service Advisor was Darryl. I was planning on going to them for all services but not anymore. Please be careful!

Out of touch
Just phone Thousand Oaks Toyota after viewing their website to get pricing on new 4 runner's as they had 9 in their inventory. I get Leanne on the phone and she tells me they have no 4 runner's I stock at all. Thanks for wasting my time. Mickey Mouse Opperation
