I bought a truck from them in december.

I bought a truck from them in december. its only 2 yrs old. I checked the oil and it was pretty much black goo. i would've expected that they would change the fluids but nope. they recommended I pay for an extended warranty and I declined due to the truck being so new. 1 day after I had the truck home the check engine light came on. I called my salesman and complained about it. and they said theyed have dillan their boss call me about the issue. He never called back. they got what they wanted. a sale. that right there shows they dont care about what happens after the deal has been done. they had pros as well but im not wasting my time pointing them out. if they dont have the time for me to just follow up regardless having the extended warranty or not. I love my truck but the dealership has nothing to do w that. they just sold it to me. i believe they cleared the check engine code wout fixing the issue. the code stayed cleared long enuf for me to think the truck was perfect. I have no proof of that. but their lack of caring convinced me theyll do what it takes to make a sale.

DO NOT PAY THEIR BOGUS FEES.

DO NOT PAY THEIR BOGUS FEES. They will jack up the price by $2000 from listed price saying that "there's nothing we can do", but they can. walk away, the fees will go down quickly. Save at least $1000. Car didn't even have treatment for the smell. Low standard, typical rip you off car salesman approach. When they promise tax and registration, look up the amounts yourself.

BUCKET LIST Moab visit, courtesy of Action Auto Orem. Flew in to purchase my 2020 Accord which made it to Moab and kept us there overnight because the car would not restart. Ended up having to get it towed to a nearby hotel after an unsuccessful attempt to jumpstart the vehicle. After spending the night in our $228 hotel my brother (who came with me) and I woke up to find that the battery had clearly been bad for some time but was likely cleaned up by the dealership to appear new. There was battery acid leaking down the battery and pooling into the battery tray. The heat shield was destroyed as a result and the battery tray had to be replaced as well. I walked to NAPA and had to purchase a $294 battery and tools to install it. I messaged my salesman Devon about the issue. He informed me that they would only cover the battery, nothing else. So, I asked to speak with his boss, Erik. I emailed Erik about my experience and disappointment and received a response asking if I contacted my finance manager first, which I didn’t because it was 10 pm when this happened, and I was never told to reach out to my finance manager if I have any issues with the vehicle. I asked Erik to reimburse me for the battery and the hotel. I also specifically told him to note that I was not asking him to reimburse me for: the heat shield, the battery tray, the tow, the tools, and a day’s salary for both my brother and me who had to unexpectedly miss a day of work. He told me that “there is no way of knowing if the battery will randomly become an issue” and that they would reimburse me for the battery “out of goodwill” because typically they only cover what it would cost them to buy it. What you failed to understand Erik is that this is not about the money, the money is irrelevant. This is about the fact that your website preaches about your vehicles receiving “a 150 point inspection so that you can be 100% confident in the quality and safety of your vehicle”. And when you sell cars that simply do not meet that standard, and leave your customers stranded, you should prioritize making it up to your customer over the money you stuff into your pockets. Also, as a note to Devon, I now understand the frustration you told me all about with your bosses being greedy and only paying you “$200 for every car” that you sell. Maybe I should sell 3 cars for them to cover the battery and hotel. And maybe you should quit like you had said you were going to during our test drive. Hopefully they give you the $25 you said they would if I mentioned you in my review! I know you really need it for that wedding.

Great Experience!

Great Experience! Danny was our salesman and he treated us like we were the most important people in the world! He gave us all the info we needed, was helpful and so kind. Our experience with Kevin in financing was equally as great!! I highly recommend Action Auto in Orem and Ask for Danny!!! He was great!

We recently visited Action Automotive Utah with the intention of purchasing a 2020 Ford Escape Hybrid. Our experience started off great, thanks to our salesman Trey, who was incredibly helpful, friendly, and professional. There was no pressure, and Trey did a fantastic job throughout the process. However, our experience took a drastic turn for the worse when we dealt with the Finance Manager. As soon as we mentioned wanting a lower price, his demeanor changed completely. He became obstinate and dismissive. He claimed there was no wiggle room on the price because they only make $500 on the car by selling it. When we asked to see the invoice, he flat out refused, stating it was irrelevant and none of our business how much profit they made on the car. He also insisted that they were already selling the car for a thousand dollars below the clean value. When I pointed out that the car had been in an accident and had structural damage, his response was shockingly rude—he told us to go buy one somewhere else. His tone was angry and mean, and I have never been treated so poorly as a customer anywhere. We were ready to buy the car that day, but after such an unpleasant encounter, we decided to take our business elsewhere. It's disappointing that one person's unprofessional behavior can overshadow the excellent service provided by Trey. We will not be returning to Action Automotive Utah and do not recommend it to others based on this experience.
