I looked at purchasing a 2014 Dodge Ram 1500 from Tim
I looked at purchasing a 2014 Dodge Ram 1500 from Tim Dahle Mazda Southtowne. They had told me that they had performed an inspection on the truck, which they said they had performed minor maintenance. I asked the salesman Nate that I needed them to take it to the Dodge dealer to have an independent inspection. Nate told me that he would take the truck in on Friday, which he never did and sent me a text that he would take it in on Saturday morning. I did not hear anything from Nate Saturday through Tuesday of the next week. Even though I had sent messages on truck update. Nate finally got back in touch with me to let me know that he had another buyer come in on Sunday and took truck to independent mechanic. The mechanic said that both manifold gaskets were bad and needed fixed. Nate said that they were planning on fixing manifold gaskets, but buyer could not get approved to buy truck. Nate finally took the truck to Larry H. Miller Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram Sandy, which is the dealer I wanted to perform an independent inspection. The dodge dealer found "12 items failed Needs immediate attention" 1. Oil Change " The oil change gauge was at 13%" 2. Brake Fluid Exchange 3. Throttle body service,Engine decarbon,& Fuel injection flush 4. Wiper Blade Replacement 5. Engine Air Filter Replacement 6. Bulb - Third Brake Light 7. Brake Job - Front (Replace Pads and Rotors) 8. Brake Job - Rear (Replace OEM Pads/Shoes and Rotors/Drums) 9. Control Arm - Upper: FOUND THAT BOTH LEFT AND RIGHT SIDE UPPER BALL JOINT BOOTS HAVE TORN. ADVISE REPLACING BOTH UPPER CONTROL ARMS. WOULD REQUIRE ALIGNMENT AFTER REPAIRS. 10. Exhaust Manifold Gasket Replacement: FOUND THAT BOTH SIDES HAVE A BROKEN STUD ON THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD CAUSING AN EXHAUST LEAK. ADVISE REPLACING BOTH EXHAUST MANIFOLD GASKETS, ALL 8 EXHAUST MANIFOLD STUDS, AND BOTH NUTS AND BOLTS FOR THE EXHAUST FLANGE 11. 8 Cylinder Platinum Hemi Tune-up (2014-Current)(100K) 12. Alignment - 4 Wheel: Alignment - Four Wheel. Required after ball joint replacement I sent Nate a text to find out, which items they would pay for. Nate called me back to let me know they would do none of these items besides manifold gaskets. I told Nate that if they won't even fix the other safety items, I would not be interested in truck. The items I requested to be fixed is (7,8,9,10 and 12). One of Nates managers called me back, which I explained the five items I expected fixed, which he said he agreed in the safety items, but would have to get back in touch with me. They finally called me back and said items 7 & 8, “The brakes were at 4 mils and that they disagreed with the pits in the rotors that the other dealer said needed to be fixed”. Brakes are recommend to be changed at 3 to 4 mils. Tim Dahle is fine selling vehicles at the end of recommended brake life! Item 9 they said the rips in boots does not mean the arms will break even though mechanics agree this item needs to be fixed to prevent failures. Item 12 they wouldn't do because they think the hazard of line item 9 is not too bad. I would recommend never buying from Tim Dahle Mazda Southtowne which is a dealer that does not put safety above their clients. I am also sending over to the better business bureau as a complaint of improper business practices. I hope this helps other buyers!

bought a Subaru We know Subaru is a good car brand Within a couple of days the car started stalling three days later, we brought it back at which point their mechanics had mentioned that it was a nice car and it had some modified parts that he could see. The mechanic did something with his Ipad looking thing to clear a code same scenario occurred three times. We took it for oil changes every time everything is fine. June we started hearing a rattling noise we were on our way to a mechanic On the way there the car started stalling again, had to pull it to the side of the road stop the car, we stopped there was smoke from under the hood, my husband opened the hood only to see flames I contacted 911. They said this was due to the modifications on the car. called Tim Dahle to let them know what happened they sold us a modified car to see if they could help us in the situation we were told “we can’t sell modified cars”, “you probably added those mods yourself”We hired an attorney, he has tons of complaints about them, and lawyer’s phone on speed dial; our finances are not high enough to sue, we had a witness that used to work for them, He told us “They do not check their cars, if they run it goes on the lot to be purchased”. if Tim Dahle had inspected the car they would have found that the modifications was added between 2019-2021.Every week, it was “oh yea it should take a few days week after week. we call, both of us are needing our cars for transportation unwilling to give us a rental car “🚙 you’d be better off going to enterprise”, they’ll call us back, no follow ups. salty on the phone, ever thought we are needing our car,it is causing us to miss work Called Tim Dahle Southtowne on Friday 10/25/2024 and surprisingly they answered and that the car is ready but “the previous owner has put in a tune, and they are unable to clear it” which is what is causing the car to shudder when it’s warmed up we still have to take the car to another place to clear the tune.

Dishonest, lazy, bait & switch organization from the top, down. All of the used car dealerships from Salt Lake area to Ogden are the worst of the worst. Better to pay less buying from an individual and having the vehicle looked at by your own choice of mechanic. Never buy used from this dealership.

Worst experience ever.
Worst experience ever. Listed here as $3700, but in person charges $5000. Dishonest about mechanical issues. Worst ever, and I would give it a finger pass by next time. Abusive racial stereotype as well. Very offended.

This is very long, but this has been VERY difficult for
This is very long, but this has been VERY difficult for me and when I got the text from Tim Dahle requesting a review, I figured might as well let others know how awful this experience has been. First of all, everyone was very nice but I definitely feel like my vulnerability and lack of knowledge on rebuilt titles was taken advantage of when I was pushed into completing the purchase of a vehicle that after a week of having it, was told it was a rebuilt title. I am a single mom, helping my son buy his first car after his dad/ my husband passed away recently and this experience has been awful. I’ve lost sleep over it and just feel SO stupid and taken advantage of for not knowing better and wish I had someone at Tim Dahle that would’ve been transparent and honest. I could’ve gone to some little car lot if I wanted to feel like this after buying a car. So, son has the car for a week and I get a call that there’s more paperwork.. nothing said about WHY, or WHAT (which, IF HE WOULD HAVE told me on the phone, I could have had a chance to ask for help friends and family before going back in). When I asked why I need to come back in, he just said there’s just some additional paperwork so I assumed it was nothing serious. I come in later that night and am bombarded with this news that’s it’s a rebuilt title ( I HAD NO IDEA what that is- I KNOW, that’s NOT good, call me an IDIOT). I wasn’t given the option to reverse my purchase, only to come in and be rushed to sign new documents because the finance manager had to leave to go pick up his son. I asked him about what rebuilt title means and basically was told if I like the car then I should proceed, that everything will be fine. He knew I was so nervous, scared, lost, CONFUSED. I was so upset I started to cry so he KNEW I was very confused and counted on him (Stupidly) to have my back and be honest. I ADMIT I should’ve known better, but I didn’t, and they took advantage AND I’ve been sick about it ever since. Some people will say well it’s your stupidity, you should’ve know better, so that’s what you get. BUT after getting home and realizing what I had just done, I WAS SICK. I would have hoped that a place as big as Tim Dahle would have been able to make things better for me and even give me an option to get another car but I wasn’t. YES, I should’ve asked, but deep down I thought it can’t be that bad of a thing if he’s telling me it’ll be okay, and if I live the car to keep it. I TRUSTED him (Mark) to have my back. IT’S TIM DAHLE after all, but he didn’t. He just wanted to make sure that sale went through and I was the perfect idiot to make it happen. The car is having issues after just 6 weeks and there’s nothing I can do about it. I’m just sick about it, I feel like a complete IDIOT I’m so embarrassed when I let people know what happened. I should have NEVER been sold this car, and when they decided a week later it was a rebuilt title, they should’ve told me they messed up, take the car back, and help me get another car that has a clean title instead of hoping I was some stupid naive woman that hopefully doesn’t know what she’s doing and lock me into this nightmare. This was something my son was looking forward to for a long time and it’s been the worst car buying experience ever. I’m sure on a normal day they are great but for me personally, it’s left a very sour taste in my mouth and even though I was stupid to do it, THEY were just hoping I was as naive as they hoped I was, putting me in that situation. I feel completely taken advantage of and just wish that a company as big as this one, I could trust that they wouldn’t let anyone be put in this situation.

marvelous sales person, LJ.
marvelous sales person, LJ. Finance/ signing process was predatory and pushy. These people do NOT have your back. Be prepared to pay $2,000 for sketchy dealer add-ons that are already on most of their cars. MRSP $37,500. Dealer modified sticker $39,500. We ended up at $44,000 all said and done that included “mandatory” one yr service $250, “mandatory” theft protection $299. Finance guy tried to talk us into $3000 ext warranty and 72 mo financing 3.9% and failed to mention 0% 36mo through Toyota. I would have walked but this was a present for my wife and she was so excited about this car. Thus I bit my tongue and followed through. BE VERY WARY.

Worst experience ever.
Worst experience ever. Don’t trust them. They said they had me approved and I signed all the paperwork for my lease. Two days later they call me back and say I need to come in for more paperwork. When I get there they say they need me to sign a new contract. They ended up saying my payments would be almost $200 more a month. Then the finance guy acts like he did me a favor by talking the bank down, or it would have been like $300 or $400 more a month. I was livid. When I asked him why he didn’t wait to get the final price for financing before having me sign the contract and giving up my other vehicle, he said he didn’t want to keep we waiting at the dealership because it had been getting late that day! When I asked for my old vehicle back he argued with me, probably because they had already sold it!!
