We purchased a vehicle and provided copies of both my drivers license and insurance information. For some reason, the salesman hounded me for an insurance binder, claiming without it, the registration and tag processing would be halted. I can?t remember the number of vehicles I have purchased in my lifetime but I can tell you, including the truck purchase from McDonough Nissan, I have purchased three vehicles in the past two months. All three purchases were made from reputable dealers like McDonough Nissan. The other two dealerships needed only my license and insurance card from current vehicle. All three purchases were made with no trade-in vehicle. Besides this, as other dealerships had done, we expected them to fill the fuel tank. The salesman sheepishly told me he only put $60 worth in the tank. Can you say cheapskate? It?s no wonder Nissan is failing. Acquisition by Honda is the best thing that could happen for Nissan at this point. Coming soon to a Honda Dealership near you.
