EDITED REVIEW (4 star): After posting my original 2-star review, Tim Raspiller (sales manager) reached out by phone. He claims that he was unaware of the situation and had not received my previous emails or voicemails. After some reflection, I've concluded that he is likely telling the truth. Tim and I have agreed to a solution that is fair to both sides, and I have updated my review accordingly. This incident aside, my experience with Courtesy Volvo Cars of Scottsdale was very favorable and I would consider buying from them again in the future. Original Review (2-stars): No Service after Sale. I really hate to do this, but hopefully it will help someone. We had a great experience at Courtesy Volvo of Scottsdale right up to point where we paid cash and drove the vehicle off the lot. After that, everything changed. When we got the vehicle home, we noticed a problem with the driver's side mirror. I don't know if it was broken all along or if it happened in the interim between inspecting the car and driving it home. I acknowledge both scenarios are possible. I not implying blame, but I wanted to discuss my options. I reached out by phone, text and email to the salesperson Brenna Kennedy and the Sales Manager Tim Raspiller. Neither Brenna nor Tim ever acknowledged any of attempts to communicate. Regardless of what happened to the mirror, I expect a reputable dealer to at least communicate with me after the sale. Instead, Courtesy Volvo of Scottsdale ghosted me. I'm stunned by this behavior and would have a hard time doing business with them in the future.

Poor knowledge, don't like to put things in writing, they don't acknowledge their own mistakes. I have had problems with them since January 2023; so far they have been unable or unwilling to fix it. I'm hoping that by me posting my complaints, they will fix the problem

I took the car into the service department without an
I took the car into the service department without an appointment. I live in Colorado and there is no Volvo Dealer close to Durango and so while I was here, I thought I would see if they would be able to service my car. They had an opening and got my car serviced for its 10,000 mile maintenance in about one and one-half hours. Ventura was very helpful and was recommended by my sister-in law who also lives in Colorado and has her car serviced here. The dealership itself is spacious, clean and decorated in a very Swedish/Scandinavian style. This is a very comfortable place to wait for your car.

One of the questions I had was about Overseas Delivery. I previously lived in Chicago and have used overseas delivery at Howard Orloff Chicago to buy a Volvo and pick it up in Gothenburg and drive around Europe. Orloff has a dedicated sales representative that deals with all overseas delivery which makes the paperwork processing consistent without each sales rep having to learn how to do it. When I inquired, no one seemed to know much about overseas delivery and so I asked your finance person if he has processed overseas delivery and yes he has. Perhaps it is not a big marketing push for you. According to the Overseas Delivery Representative at Orloff they are one of the biggest in the country. I just thought I would send this on for your information. Next time I'm in Scottsdale, I'll try to stop by and talk to you. It will be next Fall as i am picking up an XC40 in June and spending time in Europe.
I recently bought an S60 2019.
I recently bought an S60 2019. Certified pre-owned with extended warranty. I have my own autoshop that takes care of my cars. I had a low wiper fluid level warning, so I filled it up with a full bottle. A week later, the same warning recurred. I took it into my usual place, and they noted the fluid level was low. Because the car is under warranty, I was advised to go to a dealership. I went this one. They ran diagnostics for a full day and reported to me that there was brake fluid in the wiper fluid. Everything needed to be replaced and would cost over 2K with no warranty coverage because this was a result of misuse. I sought a second opinion, and the problem was simply a disconnected line with no other issues. I went back to Volvo. I asked for a video, and Jud said he 'sent me the video multiple times' but could not reproduce it when I was there. I met with the Service Manager to explain to him that there was something extremely unprofessional going on in his shop. He got defensive rather than concerned. I gave him my card and asked him to let me know what his investigation finds. It has been two weeks without feedback. I found out there are places where a perfectly easy fix is often made into a full-blown replacement. The trick by the shop is to make sure that the issue is not covered by warranty. Why? Because warranty parts are tested to ensure there was jndeed a defect. If there is no warranty, the customer is charged out if pocket and the removed parts can then be resold outside the shop. I'm not sure if this is what transpired. But it is certained walking and talking like it. My recommendation is to go to a different dealership. Also, they told me they have no loaners, but it seems that they do. It is very unprofessional to blatantly lie to a customer.

Very impressed with the way we’re treated!
Very impressed with the way we’re treated! We called because the dealer where we bought our car (Volvo of Gilbert) refused to examine our new car for three weeks, despite a safety issue after 3 months of use. Courtesy took us immediately. Very pleasant & had our car fixed within an hour. We’ll be driving the distance to here, for all future service needs.

Jud in the service department is the most knowledgeable
Jud in the service department is the most knowledgeable and fun service guy I’ve ever met. I got a new XC90 and he helped me with my dog gate and having my Polestar installed. Communication was top notch and the installation was quick! Wish he were my service guy back home.
