I had no problems buying my truck(I see now I just got

I had no problems buying my truck(I see now I just got lucky) almost a year ago and recommended my fiancé to buy her car from them thinking we could trust them. They found a car she liked but after she was approved and signed everything said that that car had too many problems(which I think was a lie because they had messed up the list price) and that they couldn’t sell it to her. They promised to make it right and We went over a few options and they said one of their employees just traded in a car that fits what’s she’s looking for and is very reliable…she hadn’t even made the first payment on it and she has to beat on her battery to even get it to start, all the sensors started malfunctioning, it has stalled and stopped working TWICE WHILE DRIVING!!!!(DANGEROUS). We didn’t deserve this treatment and knowing they knew about its issues(was an employees car) it just shows how little they care about their reputation. I was wanting to upgrade my vehicle but after this we will be doing business elsewhere.

Do not use their service department if you have a diesel.

Do not use their service department if you have a diesel. Under any circumstances. The service manager Jonathan Langford is not to be trusted, he will not return phone calls, pretend he doesn't remember any past conversations, lie about what his techs did or did not do. After screwing up an oil change and costing me over $7000 in damages (the sister dealer I took it too confirmed it was an error in the oil change that caused the issue) gave this dealership another chance and let them fix an oil leak on a different truck, spending another almost $8000. It started leaking again within 2 weeks. When contacted about it Jonathon told me to take it to another dealer because it has a 2 year warranty on their work. Finally, Jonathon was supposed to submit a reimbursement request to Ford for a recall that I paid them to do (yet another story of incompetence on this dealerships part) but never received the $1000 back. Please do not trust the service department to take care of your diesel trucks. And do not trust a word that comes out of Jonathan's mouth.

I have purchased 15 vehicles from the Cloninger family.

I have purchased 15 vehicles from the Cloninger family. The last one I bought in Hickory. Very dissatisfied with the sales department. However the service manager, Steve was very helpful and persistent to get a problem I had resolved. I tried to make a deal in Morganton and ended up trading with Ken Wilson in Canton NC. The service department in Morganton is second to none in my opinion.

I called to confirm pricing of a truck they have.

I called to confirm pricing of a truck they have. I was told the price was correct and the miles were accurate. I drove an hour to get there and another couple was there to look at the same truck. I test drove the truck and told them I would take it for the internet price of 17,228 and the offer was accepted by the salesman. He took the offer to his manager and the offer was rejected. I was told the internet price was a mistake and the real price was (I think 19,900). I said that was unacceptable seeing that the price on Autotrader, their website and the salesman all agree the price is 17,228. The other couple came to buy the truck for 17,228 and they attempted to upsale them and they left. I am in sales and as I never like to loose money; sometimes things happen. Just comes with the territory. In the end the dealership showed to be without honor and they choose money above their reputation. Evan the sales guy was caught in the middle and completely off guard.

I bought a used 2013 F250 6.7 with 108k miles on it. 4...

I bought a used 2013 F250 6.7 with 108k miles on it. 4 months after purchasing (1 month after the dealership’s warranty ended), and around 4,000 miles later, the engine completely lets go. This truck left my wife and infant daughter stranded in oncoming traffic in Florida when the engine let go. Mind you this was also 9 hours from home. After multiple calls to the dealership and Ford, neither were willing to offer any assistance. This is a known Ford problem and even upon knowing this, they told me I was out of luck and there was nothing they would do to help me. I was a Ford fan before this incident, but the customer service and support is nonexistent. If there is a known mechanical failure issue with a model or specific year truck, it would make sense for a company to back their product and do the RIGHT thing by replacing the item, instead of the customer suffering and facing over $10,000 in repairs for bad production. If I could give 0 stars - I would.

Probably the easiest new vehicle purchase I've made and work with me they did. I spotted an F150 that I did not want to let get away, so I made an outside of the box offer. This is the best car dealership I’ve ever been to. Everyone was super nice but Kenneth he was really special. He did not give up on me just because I got refused the first time. He kept looking around until he found a car he thought I’d qualify for. NO ONE has ever done this for me. This is just the best car dealership around and ask for Kenneth! ✌️✌️✌️✌️

It was a pleasure working with the Cloninger Ford of Morganton family. Everyone was very friendly and not pushy like some other dealerships. Very knowledgeable and helpful. All safety measures were in place in this day of social distancing. I will be a returning customer when I need their services.
