Don’t buy here...crooks!

Went to look at a used car here, took it to my mechanic and it was loaded with issues that CHAD, the GM, wasn’t willing to fix. Who wants to buy a used car that needs $2000 worth of work? Chad was an absolute xxx!

simply disgusted with the dealship

First off I am not one to make a fuss or even write reviews , however I am a very disappointed. This dealership seems to be selling vehicles without actual tittles. My husband bought a 2014 Silverado for our business and we already made our first payment and we still have not received our tags. So we are paying for a vehicle we cant drive. No one seems to care or want to help or even give us a refund ! Would you would want to pay for a vehicle that just sits in the driveway & cant drive because of not having tags ? I think the answer is NO !!! I definitely would not be doing business with this Highpoint Mitsubishi 2411 N Main St. Highpoint NC. nor should anyone. I will be contacting the DMV inspectors and maybe they can see what is going on in this facility. I don't want this to happen to anyone else.

WARNING WARNING read this!

WARNING DO NOT BUY HERE. We live 3 hrs away found a truck online. At high point Mitsubishi being hours away we asked for any damage. The sales person Dustin proceeded to tell me nothing but a cracked mirror. This was not the case. So the next day we went to dealership arrived at 12pm. We looked at truck and noticed both mirrors were cracked. The seat had a rip and so did steering wheel. When I asked general manger he laughed and said the mirrors are on Amazon for a few hundred bucks. 1st lie, yes they do sell tow mirrors but not power telescoping like what was on truck those are 1000 dollars each. Then we drove truck, the tire pressure light was on. He said it was a failed sensor. I found out later that was a lie it needed air. So we got back from test drive and discussed price they tried to charge us 1000 more then the internet price. Which we discussed over phone. He said they do that to everyone if they dont look at the internet oh well. So we had a loan setup from state farm at 9.4 percent. The sales person goes back talks to finance comes back and says guess what? We got you done at 9.8 % since it was close we agreed. We had 6000 cash down and good credit. We then went into finance which he said sign here here and here and we even bought warranty. The paper work was then put in a tiny envelope. So we waited for them to detail truck which was not done. Nor was any diesel in this 26k dollar purchase. We take truck and get about 20 miles and the check engine reduced power comes on. We bring it back at this point its cold wet and getting dark. They had us sit there till 7pm to tell us they would deliver it. The whole reason for truck was to pull camper and haul stuff. So the next day the service man showed up with truck. I said why is bed tilted? he said "its probably the road". So immediately after he left I went under truck. To my astonishment the whole bed cab sub frame was basically held together by rust. My lady climbed into bed and almost fell through if it wasnt for the new bedliner. It was so bad you could pull chunks of metal away. So we called dealership they wanted to look at it. The next day, another check light comes on. So I take it to a certified mechanic that takes the warranty. He had it for about a week. The thermostat was so bad it melted the o ring. If i would have brought it up to them it would have over heated or destroyed motor. So $1200 later it's fixed with thermostat and hoses that were cracked. He said there is no way someone looked at this truck and didnt see the rust underneath. He said whoever tried to cover it with black paint so you couldnt see it unless you were under truck. He also said it's dangerous and not to put any weight in bed until its fixed for safety. I then texted sales person told him I would contact the attorney general or we would take a higher payment and they can have truck back. He did not respond. I saved every text even the one about only the mirror being bad. So I then brought it to a reputable body shop Maaco. I have over a dozen photos and had to replace entire bed. They had to cut it out because the rust was so bad the nuts snapped off. It now cost me $4,000 to replace bed and undercoat so the rust stops. This dealership lied the entire time about everything. So the mechanic went in glove box to look at warranty he showed me how we didnt get 9.8% like we were told, we got 11%. The general manager's reponse was oh well you didnt read it. We had already agreed so again a bait and switch tactic. Now if we didnt have money for repairs I would have a $26k lawn ornament. They did not offer to help or to geta better truck. They want to see it knowing it's dangerous and now refuse to help. So we will have to take legal action. I will give them time after I post this and send pictures to decide if that's what they want to do. We have invoices pictures texts mechanics body shops all lined up to say just what condition this truck was in. On the outside beautiful

Poor communication

Purchased used truck from this dealer. Only 3 weeks later to have issues with a slipping transmission and check engine light. Took to service department where they pretty much did nothing but change one spark plug. Was under impression truck transmission was being worked on. Was even given estimate of what it would be if warranty didn’t cover it. Told them to do what needed to be done. Called to follow to only be they’re guys are not fit to work on transmissions and nothing was done. GM told me she was just trying to save me money by taking it elsewhere. Needless to say I picked up my truck and I am taking it to someone I trust. Never heard back from the sales rep that sold me the car. Not surprised.

Do NOT buy from this dealership

Was helping daughter look for Jeep Cherokee, paying cash. Sales rep said we could hold with $500 deposit. While comparing to another Jeep which gave $1000 deposit, we decided on a third Jeep option. Got the $1000 deposit right away. Then I'm shocked to find out that High Point Mitsubishi will not refund my deposit, said "part of the deposit was used to fix the dents I pointed out". I even went to GM in person to ask and he said there was "no reason to even have a conversation". Never in my 55 years have I ever experienced this. Most unscrupulous business dealings I've ever seen in my 30 years in the corporate world.

Stay away!!!

Horrible experience!!! DO NOT BUY A USED CAR HERE! Once I purchased my car found out there were several costly repairs that needed to be completed. Over $3000. My 2017 qx60 with 19k miles I purchased with a clean carfax had been in an accident involving the front bumper prior to purchase. This was not reported on the car fax. I’m stuck with huge bills and HPM is unwilling to even return my calls. Steer clear of these dodgy people!!
