Had a horrible experience 2yrs ago buying a kia sportage
Had a horrible experience 2yrs ago buying a kia sportage form here! Fast forward 2 yrs and car needs some service work done. They were nice to fit me into their schedule and diagnosed the car on a Monday, by Thursday and 5 calls into service with zero response I show up in person. Parts not ordered and car hasn't moved. Now total car has been their 9 days and still no call , I've left numerous messages and nothing. Guess I'll be taking time out of my day to visit them one more time! All I asking for a call to update.

My wife and I own 2 KIAs (2020 Sportage and 2020
My wife and I own 2 KIAs (2020 Sportage and 2020 Telluride) and have them serviced mostly at Sunset Kia of Auburn. Our experience with Jennifer and Dean in the Service Dept has been very good. Easy to schedule and complete as promised are 2 big positives. We miss the included, on site car wash but see it was dropped during the pandemic. Hope it comes back someday.

This one star rating is for the service manager.
This one star rating is for the service manager.During our phone coversation,(3/29/22) he refused to listen to reason and took the deny position ( "We didn't do it.")Although I found his denial unpersuasive, I decided not to engage in a verbal dispute; It's a waste of time and energy when you know that you are dealing with someone that doesn't want a reasonable resolution. I told him that I would be in touch again and this wasn't over. I am the type of person who doesn't move forward unless all my facts are pristine. I contacted Midas to see if they would stand behind there explanation. They said, "Absolutely. We have the oil pan and plug and old filter. Your leak and damaged pan is the fault of the technician who performed your last oil change. The plug wasn't inserted correctly and the threads are stripped." Sunset Kia does all my oil changes and has done so since I bought my car there. The oil changes cost me nothing there, it's part of the new car purchase contract. This is what happened: I noticed a good sized oil stain in my driveway. Most likely from a day or two before. I then looked under my car and saw a puddle of oil. I had to get to work and there is a Midas Repair shop across the street from my employer. I dropped my car off with them and asked them to fix whatever was causing this serious leak. They made the discovery and fixed the problem and it cost me $645 and change. I thought to myself this was an inconvenience for sure but I knew Sunset Kia, being a reputable company, would make things right by reimbursing my loss. When I spoke with the service manager at Sunset, I understood how wrong I was and that this would be an uphill battle. Midas couldn't believe that Sunset wasn't going to do the right thing. This isn't over! I have written an official letter of complaint and made very clear what needs to happen for me to consider this issue resolved. I will mail them today, one to the Service Manager and one to the Dealership manager/owner. If I don't gain satisfaction after that, my next step will be to take them to small claims court. I'm not going to eat $645 loss for something that was their fault. I have the the ruined pan and Midas will support my claim. I would be remiss if I didn't mention that all my past experiences with Sunset Kia have been positive. Stay tuned.

We're sorry we fell short of your expectations here, but unfortunately, your warranty only covers repairs done at our shop. Our service manager stands by the statement that we didn't do the faulty oil change, and once you took the oil pan to be repaired at another garage, there wasn't much we could do. We are sorry to be the bearer of bad news for a loyal customer, but this isn't a loss that most dealerships would take without taking full responsibility for the repair themselves.
You most definitely did perform the faulty oil change. You were the last to perform an oil change. This isn't resolved and it's not over. If I lose in small claims than I'll accept it and eat the cost. If that happens it will not alter the fact that your service department is responsible for the damage. Thank you for your quickresponse. Jason
I want to add, this was an emergency as far as I am concerned. The oil leak was severe and there was no way I was going to chance driving all the way to Auburn. Knowing I had to start work that morning and Midas being right across the street, that became the logical choice. Again, I will state my case in court and let the chips fall where they may. Cheers
DO NOT BE FOOLED !! DO NOT STEP FOOT THERE LEARNT
I don't understand why they sell cars that are not fixed off the lot and then when you go in to get your car serviced now they want to tell you what's wrong with the car they should have fixed it before they sold you the car off the lot. a car goes 2 months six months down the line you need to replace transmission n whatnot very cunning and very fraudulent of them I do not like this dealership they will sell you something that you do not need they would try their best to convince you in every way possible DO NOT step foot in this dealership learnt the hard way now I have a car that I have to fix it it's not even six months old off the lot. And don't let them get you with the warranties in the free oil changes that's just bull crap to get you to buy the car and their lot is left empty everything else you have to fix and it will be out of pocket that i promise.THEY DO NOT TELL YOU THE POLICIES BEHIND THE WARRANTIES !!! COZ THEY WANT YOU TO PAY SERVICE OUT OF POCKET !!!!

Very nice people working here, and a smooth test drive. Pricing however did not feel competitive. Asking more for a 4 year old vehicle than what new cost. If pricing was better I would not hesitate to refer to friends, but save your time unless you’re just looking to test drive.

Was looking at a truck on OfferUp. Responded through OfferUp and who ever does there internet listing are so incompatent I text back and forth for 4 days to get a price on this particular truck. They just wanted all my info so they could try and sell me something I don’t want . All I wanted was a price. Then this internet moron gave me the number to the dealer to talk to the sales and the number was disconnected. What half xxx organization never ever will I deal with these people. If you can’t put the price up front to what your selling then your trying to screw someone. Good riddance and keep your truck. There’s plenty of good dealers out there that we don’t need show with you

Sunset Kia had very friendly and knowledgeable staff that was thorough and worked quickly the day we purchased our new Telluride. We waited several months for this purchase and they made it stress free and easy. Our salesman, Jordan, went above and beyond to find us exactly what we wanted. There was no pressure at all and it was an enjoyable car buying experience.
