Thank You!

I’ve purchased several vehicles at other dealerships and the experience wasn’t the best. It was always high pressure and not a lot of truth. I just can’t say enough about Mr Milton Hall. he was patient (yal don’t even understand how much), truthful (he didn’t make a lot of promises that he couldn’t keep), personable and extremely knowledgeable about the Toyota product. I’d never purchased or even so much as driven a Toyota. He knew about all the ins and outs of the vehicle and made it clear that he’s still there for us after the sale. I’ve had my car for almost a week and he’s answered every call and email!! Promptly! If you decide to purchase a Toyota or are on the fence, GO SEE MR MILTON HALL! Trust me, he got you! And let me add I’m kinda difficult to please when I’m spending $30k+. He made it a piece of cake. Thanks Milton! We’ll be back again!

Waste of time and money despite deliberate communication

I was on a hunt for a very specific type of car and I found it in the inventory at this dealership. I contacted them on a Friday and was very upfront with them; I told them that I knew exactly what I wanted, had my own financing, money to put down, ready to buy, and that I was driving ALL THE WAY from Chattanooga (a 6+ hour drive round trip with traffic), and that I didn't want to waste their time or mine. For this reason, I wanted to have EVERYTHING ready upon coming in. They presented a price to me over the phone that seemed reasonable and so I made an appointment to come in on Monday. I confirmed my appointment 3 times - over the phone, via email, and AGAIN the day of when I was making the 3 hour drive down from Chattanooga. I got to the dealership about 30 minutes early. They presented me the car and it was super dirty. The car was a trade in and hadn't been cleaned. I was also told that it hadn't been inspected by their mechanics. I was annoyed. I drove all the way down here WITH AN APPOINTMENT to be told that they're not even sure if the car can be sold? They said it would be about an hour for the inspection to be done. I waited patiently for TWO hours only to be told that they found structural damage and that the car was unsellable. I was furious at this point. I did everything I could do as a consumer to make this process as seamless as possible, wasted an entire day plus gas and time away from my clients to drive 3+ hours down here only to be told this upon arrival? Why was this not done prior? Was I not explicit enough when I clearly expressed multiple times that I was coming from out of town and didn't want time to be wasted on either side? They tried to sell me other cars in their inventory but I knew exactly what I wanted and only one of the other cars fit the bill. However, it was priced $2000 over my budget. He went to talk to his manager to see if they could help me out given the situation. The manager came back and said he would only drop it down by $500. I found this absolutely ridiculous given what the dealership had already put me through. Very unhappy, I got up to leave. The guy offered to fill my gas tank (a nice gesture) given the situation. I told him that I had just filled up and still had 3/4's of a tank. I suggested that he buy me a gift card so that I could fill up when I got closer to Chattanooga. He laughed at me and ultimately ended up paying $6 whole dollars to top off my tank. My boyfriend works as a car salesman at another dealership (they unfortunately don't have the specific type of car that I'm looking for) and he was shocked when I told him this story. He would have NEVER let this happen. While I'm grateful that they were honest about the damage and I understand that they're busy during the holiday season, this situation still seems unacceptable from a consumer standpoint. What's the point of making appointments and communicating your needs to their staff if this is how they handle things? I also recognize (and told him) that this was not Miltons fault. He stepped into this situation. But I even talked to the director and manager and still got no solutions. I will never go back to this dealership and I will be spreading the word as far as I can about this incident because it ultimately cost me a lot of time and money and I don't want any other consumers to be put through the same thing. Do yourself a favor and AVOID THIS PLACE at all costs.
