Worst customer service ever

Where do I start? I’m really glad I took the time to come read the reviews because I experienced some of the issues that had been posted. I arrived at the dealership pretty late in the evening but still got a chance to view the vehicle I was interested in. The salesman Ayman was very unprofessional and acted if he was unbothered that I was trying to purchase. Long story short he set up an appointment for me to come back the next day at 12 noon which I had to drive a hour and a half to get there. Only to be told the vehicle had been sold earlier that morning. Poor communication!!! The least he could have done was call me and inform before I waste my time and gas. Spoke with management and informed them of the situation and was still considering too buy. After reading the reviews I rather take my money to a dealership that respects my dollar. Thanks but no thanks Anchor.

Great follow up experience

Great service! Happy with the jeep that I bought. There were a few hiccups after I bought the vehicle but the owner contacted me and rectified the problem immediately! Sam and Michelle were great help!

Josh was super friendly!

Josh was tremendously helpful from start to end even though I had a small child with me he was patient and helped with everything that I needed to make this transition as easy as possible, only thing I didn’t like was they didn’t fill up my tank

Since when?

Went to look at a vehicle, everything was great until I asked for a test drive. I was told they needed a preapproval before I could drive the car. Feeling some kind of way, I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Hello Mr. DCarl, we apologize for the communication. Obviously we didn't do our part in explaining our process or company policy. Due to COVID 19 our inside vehicles were more likely to be touched and looked at by many people, and our safety and health for employees and possible customers were more important. So the only way we could do our part and clean the vehicles appropriately we required a pre-approval before any test drives with all customer, and when explained correctly people did understand. We have a beautiful showroom of vehicles and we are grateful for any possible customers to even consider Anchor Auto Outlet, but We value safety 1st. And once again we are sorry we didn't communicate better, and good luck on your buying process and we are here if you would still consider allowing us to earn your business and things will be different.

Update on my reveiw

I wanted to come back and update my last review since the circumstances have changed. My experience started out a little rocky but I have now spoken with the salesman and he was very apologetic. He has followed up with me and offered to do whatever he can do to help with the buying process. I know that car salesman tend to have busy and hectic days so I am glad that we had a chance to talk about the situation. I will now consider purchasing the vehicle that I first intended to from this dealership and this salesman. Even if I don't I will consider them in the future knowing that they do value their potential customers.

Untruthful information provided

I called the dealership to find out about the availability of one of the cars advertised; got a confirmation from customer service representative that yes it was available. So then I drove 4 hours from Washington DC (telling them on the phone that I am doing so prior) to come see this particular car as it is a rare model and not available anywhere near; called again when I approached the dealership - another representative on the phone said to call in an hour; so I did and eventually someone else told me that the car got sold out about 2 days ago. My huge advice to the owner or the responsible boss of this dealership - can you kindly please put the house in order, as this is not the first time it happens and there is a complete lack of coordination; either put the ones who know exactly what they are talking about when the pick the phone and give a response confirming that the car is available or get the sales people to answer those calls directly. I wasted the weekend driving god knows where because I was told the car was available and then all of a sudden it was not. And I am sure I am not the first one and I am not the last one with whom this crap happens.
