This Dealerships is a scam not Blasius service or care

This Dealerships is a scam not Blasius service or care please Beware! We brought a car back in March for my Mother and we should have known right away when we walked in and no one greeted us that our business would not be appreciated. We continued to purchase a 2019 Toyota Rav4 with approx 81000 miles. Mom liked the car but there were some things that needed to be fixed. After negotiating that we were off with the car ...great buy ....so we thought!! Then it became a nightmare, mom lives in Ansonia and the dealer is in Middletown the car shut off and would not start the next day!! We called in and Laurence the GM was acting like we did something wrong to the car ....no care or compassion for our situation. Then we bring it and he changes the battery after they had claimed when we purchased it that they went through and checked everything. Fools Gold ! So they changed the battery at the blasius in Stratford, CT ( Great people and seevice) and a week later lights and funny reving are going on with the vehicle and mom has to bring it again....this time they have her come and wait for the car to be serviced and tell her the problem is a sensor and she will need to come back when they get the part. They call her back in a week and say oh we have the part now. ( It is important to note that this is about 40 days into the state 60 day warrantyon used car purchased) Mom goes back up there , all these times missing time from work and dealing with this issue, they replace the sensor and tell her she's all set . Less than two weeks later the car is doing the exact same thing it originally did when they replaced the battery. We call again to speak to the GM Laurence. It's important to note the attitude of the employees and staff throughout this process was very off putting and as if my mom's problem is her fault, she brought the car now it's her problem. Laurence then proceeds to say and I Quote "oh bring it here to me and not to Toyota is only 3 days left and after that your warranty ( the one we purchased) will kick in!!! Whhaattt did he just tell me exactly what I thought they were doing , just band-aiding the issue until my mom's warranty kicks in to have someone else fix it and have her come out her pocket for a deductible and money for rental and time loss at work???? This is why I'm telling you to beware!!! They knew the car had an issue but didn't want to actually fix it. Although the issue was existing when we got it. All we wanted was for Blasius Middletown to do the right thing.....but they have not and my mom is paying the price! LITERALLY!! Don't be fooled they have nice looking cars but there service and care for the customer is evidently not a value to them. They just want to sell you a car with issues and a nice warranty so they don't have to fix it. Definitely not what we expected from a Blasius Brand.

Well, I tried to overlook the obvious signs here and give Blasius the benefit of the doubt. That was obviously a terrible decision. I had reached out about a slightly used 2025 truck on their lot. The pictures were a touch dark but the truck looked great and it was what I was looking for. I called and asked if there were any issues, damage, the obvious things. I was told it was like new and just had very low miles. I told them I was driving 2 1/2 hours each way so I wanted to go through everything beforehand. That way, it worked for both of us and no one's time was being wasted. I was very honest about my trade and even went out of my way to describe a small ding and send them a picture of it. This way it was not a surprise when I got there and possibly effect the deal agreed upon. A deal was made and everything was good to go so I made the drive. Upon arriving, I saw the truck I was purchasing so I parked next to it and texted them that I was there. I started going around it to make sure everything was as it was supposed to be. Ding here, scratch here, dent there.. and then I get to the driver side and it looked like it had been hit on the drivers side door near the hinge. Obviously, it was never mentioned and they let me make the drive there anyways. They pretended to not know about it and then later said they had looked into having it fixed but their guy couldn't do it and if they had it fixed at a shop they would've charged more for the truck. They were unapologetic and refused to do anything at all to make it right. Then better yet, they blamed me for not asking for better pictures or a video. They said they gave me more for my trade in because they knew the truck had damage. This was all lies. They thought because I drove all that way, I would take it anyways and they could unload damaged goods. These guys unfortunately are your run of the mill snake oil salesmen. Dishonest, deceitful and disingenuous. They lie to customers and hope they'll just accept it. 0 stars.

Jason, thank you for your feedback. We understand your concern regarding the scratches on the pre-owned vehicle you viewed. As all our inventory is pre-owned, minor cosmetic issues can sometimes be present and may not be immediately apparent online. We apologize if our salesperson did not adequately highlight these scratches. Please note that we provide a free CarFax report on our website for all vehicles, which would indicate any significant damage. We appreciate you giving us this opportunity, Jason, and apologize again for the inconvenience you experienced.

After visiting many dealerships looking at cars for my son, I would highly recommend Blasius of Middletown. Just ask for Dylan. He made our buying experience completely comfortable with no pressure to make a purchase. He was also extremely personable, courteous, and very responsive to every question right up to the final sale. Thank you Dylan !

Stay far away.

Stay far away. I purchased a Nissan Pathfinder from this dealership and within days of the CT 60-day lemon law expiring (how convenient for them) our check engine light came on. We brought it back to the dealership and they brushed us off. A month or so later our engine started making a clicking noise, turns out our car needs the timing chain replaced - it's an expensive service and we've had several mechanics tell us that they think this dealership concealed the issue by putting heavy oil in the engine. I live in town and was excited about supporting a dealership in Middletown but I seriously regret ever shopping here. They don't care about you as the consumer, just care about getting their money.

Bought a 2022 Honda Accord Nov 2024.

Bought a 2022 Honda Accord Nov 2024. Had the car for just over 2 months now. The first week I inquired about a vibration issue in which I was informed by THEIR Town Fair Tire location that the rims were bent. Informed Blasius about this immediately and have been given the run around back and forth, getting rebalancing and tire pressure changes. Informed that the car is still drivable and that they CAN fix it but it’ll just happen again. Haven’t heard from them since. Refused to fix the REAL issue under warranty. Don’t be fooled by the “customer service” to SELL you a car. Still love the car but that’s thanks to the reliable brand of HONDA not BLASIUS. CHEERS

Great service and wonderful people.

Great service and wonderful people. Worked with Pat last weekend to trade in my jeep wrangler for a beautiful Jeep Grand Cherokee L that had all the space we need for our growing family. He was wonderful, even went for a test drive with me so I wouldn’t get lost. All the staff on that day were great and very understanding even when my toddler started to get fussy. 10/10 I would highly recommend them to anyone.

My Biggest mistake was not reading the reviews first.

My Biggest mistake was not reading the reviews first. I've been speaking to a sales associate about a car since Wednesday. I asked if anything is needed to secure the car he said no. I was scheduled to come down today/sat. To complete the purchase but because I look for I was away. I did the application the night before. this morning, the sales associate told me to wait on getting the approval before I come down and then he tells me the car sold and tries to put me in an alternate option with a different trim level. I've explained to him many times i work at a dealership. I know how the process goes when selling a car. He knew the other car was being purchased and still decided to run my credit. this place is terrible and I do not recommend
