Last week I went into purchase a 2012 Honda Civic. I was extremely satisfied with the customer service that I received from Michael Hanna. He was very polite, and made sure that I walked out of the dealership with a car that I loved. As a college graduate, the transition into adulthood took some time. I wanted that first step to be a car. As I wrestled with idea of buying a car used or new, I felt even more uneasy while searching through craigslist and wondering if I would get scammed. Once I arrived at Planet Honda I was greeted by Nelson Alvarez my sales Rep who HONESTLY went through the process with me. I was dealing with a person and not a computer who was invested in the choices I made as young women. While at first I was a bit apprehensive in terms of the myths I heard about financing a car, Nelson made sure to reassure me that this was a great investment. He took his time with me, explaining every detail in terms I understood and could even go back to family and friends to explain. As a first time car buyer it was an excellent experience at Planet Honda Rt 22. Even down to the finance rep I spoke to Freddy, he was very personable, open to questions, which is rare at most dealerships. The most important part of my experience at Planet Honda is that both my sales and finance Reps knew me by name and even remembered my brother and mother's name. I was not a number, I was a person and they looked at the whole picture instead of seeing me a just a recent college grad who wanted to buy a car. If you are unsure about buying a car, go to Planet Honda Rt 22 and ask for Nelson Alvarez and look forward to a great experience words cannot express. Not sure if you can request anyone in the finance department but hopefully you’ll be blessed with meeting Freddy from Long Island and laugh as I much as I did. I rated everything as great because it was a great experience. I haven't been car shopping in awhile, and found the laid back atmosphere and freedom to look without being pressured very good. Art was very honest with me throughout the process. There were no hidden fees or surprises, and I was allowed time to read all of the paperwork before signing. I brought a lot of information because I thought it was going to be a fight but the deal and financing were so good that I didn't have to use my own information. This is why I would recommend this dealership to my friends. I also have a cousin who has been going to this dealership for over 20 years and is a very discerning buyer herself, and she swears by them and their good business practices.
