I bought a used 2020 Toyota RAV4 in HONDA of Nanuet Dealer shop (08/17/2024). 1 week later (08/23/2024), I went to the local Toyota dealer for an oil change and I requested an inspection. And they gave me an almost $4000 bill for repairing serious safety issues. I went to the HONDA of Nanuet again and explained everything but they said "We don’t have a loaner car. So you should come after the reservation for your loaner car.” So, I have to come back because I need a car for the commute… Every day my family got scared because the loud noise came from the underbody…

I had a great, 5 star experience at DCH Honda. I worked with Nelson who was incredible! He worked with me on different options and helped me make the best financial decision. I would definitely recommend this dealership and specifically Nelson to anyone looking for a car. He made things quick, easy and painless! He was very understanding and more than anything just happy to get me a car that was best for me. He went out of his way to provide different options and it was clear he is very knowledgeable about what he does. Go to Nelson!!!!

Finance Manager Kamu Foggie, and Sales Manager Greg
Finance Manager Kamu Foggie, and Sales Manager Greg Bradford are some of the worst individuals we've encountered in quite some time. Not only are they rude, disrespectful, liers, and some of the most condescending individuals we've ever met but they will flat out lie to you and do not care about you or wasting your time and money. They basically pressured and wasted our time with their lies from saying they know the laws, they are employees of the NYS DMV and that they wouldn't even process the paperwork for our purchase unless I cosigned for my wife even though her credit is 833 and she has a great job. This was totally sexist. She does NOT need a mans approval to buy a vehicle and they do not have the right or the place to tell customers what to do. Asked to speak to the GM in charge of the dealership over them and they refused and then proceeded to lie and said he was the GM. There was a lot more to it than just this but hard to put into words about their tone and attitude and more!

Hello, We appreciate the opportunity to work with you and your wife on a vehicle purchase, and it is unfortunate that things did not work out to your liking. It is understandable that you are frustrated, but we feel as though this feedback is unwarranted and misleading. After submitting multiple requests to our dealership for more information about vehicles using several different aliases, you and your spouse arrived at our showroom with a deal that appeared to meet your needs. The ensuing process with your salesperson was mostly seamless. Things continued as such until your request to our finance team that plates currently issued to a vehicle registered to both you and your wife be transferred to the one that was currently being purchased in your spouse’s name only. Upon being informed this was not possible due to New York Motor Vehicle regulations, you became visibly frustrated and asked to speak with our general manager, who was out of office the day of your visit. Our sales manager, who was team lead at the time and more than capable of answering your inquiries, suggested that the fastest viable solution to keeping your same tags would be to have you both sign for the purchase, as you had with the previous vehicle. Under no circumstance was the solution in the context of a “sexist” remark, nor did it suggest your spouse would not be able to purchase the vehicle solely in her name – only that the plates would not be transferrable if this was the chosen route. We have investigated this matter further since the time of your visit and can again confirm our team was correct in accordance with New York Motor Vehicle rules. Our General Sales Manager, Dhimitri Robo, has since reached out to you to discuss this matter directly, and to offer an apology for your frustration and any inconveniences you and your wife were caused. Additionally, he offered to work with you to find a way to satisfy your request that was within the limits of the law, which you refused. Again, we do appreciate the opportunity to gain your business and regret that in the end we could not reach a satisfiable agreement and arrangement for the tag transfer. Buyer beware.
Buyer beware. Bought a pre-owned truck at DCH Honda in Nanuet with a check. They cashed it. We added it our insurance. Were given the keys. Everything was done. Was about to leave and they tell us that they messed up and put the wrong vin # on my paperwork of another truck we never once looked at or expressed interest in. We were told it would be an additional $8k + if we wanted to purchase the truck that we had just paid for and again had the keys too. They couldn’t figure out how to refund us properly when we did not agree to pay the additional $. The manager never approached us, apologized or even offered to help us, he just avoided us. The best day I spoke to a manger who did not even apologize for dealerships error or wasting our time. I am very pro local businesses and support as many as I can by purchasing local. I’m floored by this experience.

I had an extremely dissapointing experience purchasing a car with Honda of Nanuet, NY. While it started off well the day of the purchase with my sales associate, Danny Almonte, it was all downhill after that. The next day, while driving my daughter to a soccer tournament in New Jersey, my wife called me extremely distressed because she had to pull over on the side of the road because the driver side wind shield wiper wasn't working. Thankfully my wife and daughter made it safely to the tournament after the storm had passed, but a broken part, on a "Certified" Pre-Owned Vehicle is completely unacceptable. Sadley, we had to learn about this while my wife was on the interstate, putting her and my daughter's life in danger as she couldn't see where she was driving. I called the dealership to ask if we could have a loaner or rental while waiting for the repair and we were told no. Unfortunately, my wife had to wait at the dealership for 4 hours for the car to be repaired. I tried calling the Pre-Owned Sales Manager, Darren Makofsky three times, about being reimbursed for the $165 we had to spend to fix our 1-day old, Certified Pre-Owned car. Sadly, he never bothered to call back. I will never consider going to DCH Honda of Nanuet again and would never recommend it to anyone. I am also rethinking ever buying a Honda again, instead going with a more reliable Toyota. -Marc Power
