Pollard Friendly Motors is the Best of Boulder

Congrats to Pollard Friendly Motors ( Pollard Jeep) and Jimmy Pollard and fam for running the kind of business we love here in Boulder Colorado!!! We have done business here before and my experience of buying a car here this week gets the "fivest" of 5 stars. Have been pining for a smaller vehicle to drive instead of my ginormous SUV since Boulder started growing into the Silicon Valley ( Hello Google) and the City Council tries to morph us SUV drivers into bicycles ( Hello I guess they forgot it snows in Boulder). Stopped in to Pollard cos I love hometown businesses and their service department has always been great when we had an older jeep that needed anything. Fast and never overpriced or pressuring to do work. First look was an amazing deal on a 2015 with just 5K miles, Jimmy himself came out and helped me for a quick drive. Loved it but more than my budget. Sunday is still "free" looky loo car lot day due to Blue Laws which keep dealers closed and with their families ( not such a bad law) and on our cruise saw a dynamite used vehicle more in the price range. Called up Monday and Jimmy said, "Jan , this will be a great driving long lasting vehicle for you, I'm going to get you a great deal and take care of everything" He did including getting an interest rate tons better than I found at USAA. and on Tuesday, drove out with my sweet smaller car which will fit well within Boulder's tiny lanes on Folsom. DO NOT HESITATE to bring your business to Pollard Jeep, tell Jimmy you read Jan's review on Yelp! Shout out to great staff member Roxanne in the finance office for her help and patience explaining everything and Brian in sales.

Not an honest broker

I purchased a new Jeep from Pollard last month, after 30 days I get a phone call stating that I owe them money they forgot to collect. There was some back and forth on a couple different vehicles and we ran number with both a down payment and zero down. At the end of the day we settled on a price written on a scrap piece of paper, zero down and a monthly payment. Somehow a 5k down payment finds its way back into the deal but they don't collect until a month later and now I get a call with the guys telling me to pay up as my title work is being held hostage. Had they asked for another 5k at contract signing, it would have brought my attention to the fact that I was paying 5k more then the "out the door" price the sales guy came up with. Maybe it was just an honest mistake, just not very happy about how this deal was handled. I guess this is just how car dealers work, they create as much confusion as possible while playing loose with the numbers. I'm not planning on going back to these guys, not for a new purchase or for service work.

After decades of doing business, taking service elsewhere

I have done business with Pollard for years, most recently for essentially all service on my '99 Jeep Grand Cherokee (200K+ miles!). I called today for some service, and was told their next available appointment was on the 13th. Unfortunately, they were referring to OCTOBER. I have always had great service in the past, but waiting a MONTH for service is just not acceptable.

Terrible Service Department

This place has one of the worst service departments that I have ever had the misfortune of experiencing. Overpromising and underdelivering is the order of the day there. I was promised my jeep back numerous times and each time they had "just one more thing" they needed to check. When I asked to speak to a manager I waited a full hour with three other people who were upset in their waiting area and still never managed to talk to one. Five days later I finally got my vehicle back. I did shoot off an email to the service manager so they could attempt to do something to make it right, but never heard back. So, here I am warning people away. Go to a different dealership, this one is awful.

Bought and sold

We had a very knowledgeable sales person who was also extremely patient while helping us choose and learn about our new grand Cherokese. The negotiations were what we expected from the dealership and were not too stressful.

Excellent

Had a great visit! They took care of me very well and were not a pain like the other dealers. They even came down on the price o the vehicle. Excellent dealership.

Hawaii to Colorado with the help of Monte Hall

Moving to Colorado from Hawaii is a big undertaking. Sold both vehicles in Hawaii and Monte had just the vehicle we wanted. A great Jeep Trail hawk with all the extras we wanted and was patient with us for what we didn't want. Monte IS very knowledgeable in what he had available and tech savvy on explaining all of the new electronics that we hadn't had before. Thanks Monte, for making our first week in Colorado so successful.

Monte Hall was fantastic!

my boyfriend and I had a wonderful experience at Pollard Boulder Jeep. Sales associate Monte Hall was friendly, knowledgeable, and made buying a used car very easy. We bought a mini cooper and are very pleased.

Glad I bought my Wrangler from Monte Hall at Pollard Jeep...

Sales staff is knowledgable, friendly, and patient. Monte Hall spent a good deal of time with me answering questions, looking at different models, and going for test drives. None of the high pressure sales junk I've dealt with at other dealers...they seem to value product knowledge over sales techniques! He actually answered my questions with real answers (as opposed to other dealers who answer a question with a question). He even took me back to speak with one of the service guys about a technical question I had about the front and rear differentials. He didn't try to pressure me when I went home to think things over, so I made sure to ask for Monte when I returned to complete the purchase. On top of all that, I feel that I negotiated a very good purchase price. I would definitely recommend Pollard and Monte Hall to my friends and family.

The best experience I could ask for!

I went to pollard looking for a car because I was interested in buying a jeep. From the minute I stepped inside I was taken care of. Monte Hall met me and took me around to look at all the used jeeps in the price range I had given him. Other dealerships I went to only had around 1 or 2 cars in my price range, to show me because my budget was so low, but this dealership showed me many and said they would work with my budget. I found one that I was in love with that had just gotten to the lot, but when they took it too inspections it failed because of engine problems. I was a little disappointed but told him to call me when he found something. Three days later Monte called back and said that they just got a jeep grand Cherokee in that was perfect for me. He went in into the shop on his day off just to make sure I could be the first person to look at it. They already another employee who was interested in the car but the dealership made sure they were fair to me. They worked with the budget I had and made it feel like I practically stole the car! I took it for a test drive and told Monte that the only thing that was bothering me we're the brakes. They felt a little off, so the dealer ship went ahead and replaced the brakes for me and then got it professionally cleaned! This cost them a lot of money but did not up my price at all. I am a 23 year old girl and was treated with the up most respect. Most dealerships try to screw women over but Monte and this dealership did no such thing. It sounds like a weird oxymoron but he is a very honest sales guy! I really can only speak highly of my experience! Monte Hall in the man!!!!! I wouldn't shop anywhere else!!
