Never Again
At this point I have no idea what the quality of their work may be. I have decided to rescue my truck from their clutches and have the work done from two independent shops - One specializing in air conditioning and one specializing in transmission and transfer cases. In three weeks all they have managed to accomplish is service both the front and rear differentials. I was quoted a price of $2600.00 to replace the transfer case which allegedly has a small crack in the housing. Hard to understand how they came up with that figure because when I asked them for the model and serial number of the unit in the truck and they had to go out and obtain the information off the truck. Given the number and variety of transfer cases you can't estimate the cost of replacing one without those numbers. The rear fuel tank was full but reading empty. I wanted that fixed. I suggested they replace the rear fuel tank or at least the sending unit. They said they tested it and it was fine. What needed replacing was the fuel transfer unit under the cab for $400.00. They got the wrong part after one week because they had failed to check the VIN before ordering the part. Now that they have the correct transfer switch installed, and haven't solved the problem they have decided the problem is in the rear fuel tank. I think you can appreciate why I'll never go back there again.

Incorrect problem diagnosis and then a bill
An incorrect problem diagnosis and then a bill for the failed effort. They refused to acknowledge that the problem was what I said it was when the car was brought in. Fortunately, Olympia is only a short drive.

F-150 Review
As a former Master Certified Ford Service Manager, I speak from experience: This Service Department has much improved over the last two years. However, I think the Service Advisor needs more training and experience in the service department. He missed an obvious buying signal when we spoke about my odometer light coming on occasionally. It should be repaired. He never mentioned it. The truck has over 150,000 miles - no suggestions or recommendations for maintenance items like coolant, transmission or brake fluid. This costs the dealership possible added revenue. He is a pleasant young man and was not a jerk to work with, as I have experienced in the past.
