The high safety and comfort ratings for the 2025 Forester

The high safety and comfort ratings for the 2025 Forester brought me in and the fabulous ride sold me on the car. George and Matt worked hard to get me the scarce Premium Hybrid in white, keeping me informed of their search efforts. Early one morning I received a text that one had just become available and I was on my way! I love the car.

I had a great experience getting my Subaru Forrester

I had a great experience getting my Subaru Forrester serviced. My advisor (Norma) was very friendly - explained everything very well and made sure I was on board with the service to be provided. While I intended to wait during the service, Norma advised that they would provide a loaner car for me because the planned services would take longer than I anticipated. After the technician had reviewed my vehicle additional areas of concern were identified that needed attention. Norma contacted me and sent a summary of the additional service necessary and got my approval to proceed. I will continue to take my Subaru to this dealer for future services.

Our experience with Subaru Carlsbad has been absolutely wonderful! From working with Ricky Sentina in Sales to our Love Encore visit with Manny Morataya, everything has been top notch! Manny took the time to walk us through all the features and functions of my Subaru Outback Wilderness?s - and there?s a lot to learn! He was patient, very knowledgeable, and made sure we felt confident with the vehicle. This was the first service for my new Subaru Crosstrek.

This was the first service for my new Subaru Crosstrek. Everyone was pleasant to work with. The car was ready on time as promised. I will continue to come to Carlsbad even though I live in San Diego

I had a 9:00 am appointment.

I had a 9:00 am appointment. after waiting 20 minutes to even check my car in , I notified the technician, Tyler, that I had a non-negotiable meeting at 11:00 am. I could have dropped my car off then, but he assured me, the 6000 mile service would only take one hour. I waited in the waiting room for over an hour, then went to double check my car was at least almost done. My car had not even been looked at, in 2 hours. I had to leave immediately to make my meeting, and now I need to reschedule service. would it have been so hard to communicate that you were running two hours behind? I have no problem dropping my car off, or waiting for it in person. However, I need a clear timeline. It's an oil change, for god's sake. Tyler could have texted me at any time, or walked into the waiting room and given me a head's up. I could have left my car and made other arrangements. Such, awful, xxxxty, service. If the service was not already prepaid when I bought the car, I would never be back. after my "free" service is over, I will never spend another dime at your shop.

We just purchased our Forester Hybrid Touring model.

We just purchased our Forester Hybrid Touring model. It is beautiful. It is our fourth Forester for a reason! Fabio had signed us up among the first twenty and we were able to order the model, color and interior. Fabio and his team took great care of us during the purchase. The team members were all very friendly and knowledgeable. They took time to answer all our questions. Now, we just have to master all the new technology.

I went to Subaru Autonation twice.

I went to Subaru Autonation twice. The first time to test drive a Wilderness. The 2nd time to purchase a Subaru Wilderness. I worked with George, Robert & Terrence. What can I say except these guys were AWESOME! Kind caring and definitely not pushy. I went back with my new car so that George could walk me thru all of the numerous controls in a calm were here for you manner. I will have a 2nd session much longer to orient me to everything I need to know and want to know! I highly recommend these guys and Subaru Autonation for your next car!

I had been taking my car here for routine oil changes,

I had been taking my car here for routine oil changes, and it was always a frustrating experience. Even when they said my car was ready, I’d end up waiting another 30+ minutes for them to bring it around. Then came the real issue. Subaru sent me an extended warranty for my brakes due to known problems with some Ascents. My car had this exact issue. The dealership said they’d take care of it, but the parts were on backorder. I followed up five times over the next five months before they finally got the part in. I dropped my car off on a Monday. By Friday, the brake assembly had popped out and scraped my rim. I called and spoke to Joella, the Service Manager, who immediately dismissed the issue, claiming it wasn’t possible because “their system” would’ve caught it. We sent her a photo and explained it sounded like a jackhammer. She later claimed it was the exhaust manifold—which isn’t even near the brakes or tire. It was clear she lacked a basic understanding of car mechanics. I then took my vehicle to Orange Coast Subaru, and they were amazing. They told me to bring it in immediately, gave me a loaner, and handled everything with care and professionalism. I escalated the issue to Subaru of America, and after investigating, they confirmed it was a workmanship issue caused by this dealership. Subaru requested both dealerships work together to resolve it. Meanwhile, Nathan—the General Manager—never returned a single phone call from us or Orange Coast Subaru. Subaru of America couldn't even reach him. After two weeks of silence, we physically went to the dealership—twice—just to get him to talk to us. When we finally met with him, he tried to gaslight my husband by blaming the other dealership and claiming there was “a miscommunication.” Luckily, my husband is knowledgeable about cars and called him out. Only then did Nathan finally admit fault and agreed to pay the other dealership to fix our car. Bottom line: Be very careful with this place. I should’ve trusted my gut and stopped going, but it was the closest dealership. Don’t make the same mistake.
