Very good communication from the start via email. They took my needs into consideration and had a game plan ready once I arrived at the dealership. this saves tons of time and basically it was down to choosing a color, quick test drive and signing documents. Our salesperson, Shannon, and the sales manager, Lance,...

Our salesperson, Shannon, and the sales manager, Lance, were both personable enough, but that was certainly not enough to elevate this experience, I’m giving this dealership the lowest rating because we bought a certified car so that we could give it to our daughter, who’s a college student in LA, without worry. We flew in from out of state to get the car on which we made a deal beforehand. We repeatedly expressed our desire to handle as much of the paperwork ahead of time, so to minimize our time at the dealership when we arrived.. Despite this and the fact we arrived exactly when we said we would, we were told it was a “busy” day and there were several people ahead of us; we waited over two hours for the fiancé guy. After eventually finalizing the paperwork, we were anxious to leave as we were meeting our daughter to deliver the car before heading home. So, when the check tire light came on a couple of miles from the dealer, we pressed on. When I checked the tires on this “certified” car, two were around 20 psi and the spare donut, which should be 60 psi, was 25. The pressure monitoring system on the car requires cold fill exact pressure with all four tires, not an easy feat at a gas station without an electronic tire gauge so after a trip to the auto parts store we did the best we could and sent our daughter on her way, unsure of the safety of the car, which defeated the purpose of buying certified. When we called the dealership, they said “sorry” and retreated to stock lines like, “we stand behind our cars” and “our cars go through a rigorous inspection,” this latter line repeated three time being especially galling because were that true, the tires would not have been grossly under inflated, including the spare. It turns out the inspection sheet had no entries for the tires so were they ever checked at all? Because we do not have confidence in the tires, we likely will replace all of them because our daughter needs to focus on school, not dealing with mechanical issues with her “certified” car. We have bought cars from dealerships around the nation, new and certified, and never had such a negative experience. Warning to those future customers buying a certified car from this dealer, You may want to get an independent inspection or shop elsewhere. We will certainly never do business with them again.

Dealer response

Called and spoke with Ashley about the concern with the tire pressure system. They took it into a dealership in L.A. and found a nail in the tire. Had tire replaced and all is well now. She was very appreciative of the follow-up.
