We received an email that there is a recall with our vehicle and we can schedule an appointment free of charge to replace broken part (ABS system)so we went there and they called us 10 minutes later that we don’t have oil in our engine and the battery is dead And we have to pay for it. Obviously, I said no. lady hung up. They said they will not do anything because there is no oil in the engine and battery is dead yet somehow I got there, so how can I drive without oil? When I went there to pick up my car, they gave me paperwork that battery is dead and there is no oil in the engine. Of course I checked that and oil level was fine (still 2 more thousand to drive ) battery was good as well. it’s unbelievable how they want to make money on their clients even if there’s their mistake not to mention, they should not let me leave If there was no oil in the engine! yet they let me go. Obviously I saw and checked, and everything was OK. Horrible place.

Within the first year after purchasing my car, they
Within the first year after purchasing my car, they constantly sent me promotional offers for oil changes (specifically 6 oil changes for $60). They offered it to me 4 times in a year and I bought them all 4 times. Now they won’t let me use them because they say I have to prove with a receipt and/or bank statement that I purchased them. The most amazing part is that the person telling me I have to prove I bought them is the person who sold them to me!!!! They don’t have the receipts by the way, they conveniently cannot prove that you bought something from them, two people flat out told me that my receipts aren’t their responsibility. Ok but where am I supposed to get my receipts from then if the place distributing them doesn’t have it?! I purposely won’t get another Hyundai (at least not from this dealership) and I have talked 3 people out of buying a car from here just because of their service department. There was another time when I had just had new tires put on, balanced and an alignment done and then went to this dealership afterwards for an oil change and they told me I needed an alignment and other things I didn’t need!!!! Money hungry rip off artists looking to swindle. The very definition of why people don’t trust people in the car sales industry. Let’s say you did decide to get something serviced here, something as simple as an oil change will take at least 3 hours. Seriously, go somewhere else.

Cost 683$ to pass inspection/calling headquarters is a waste of time stay away. Manager told me battery was disconnected cause of problem/battery was never disconnected. Go somewhere else

I bought a Hyundai from this dealer & its shakes when
I bought a Hyundai from this dealer & its shakes when driven over 60mph. The dealer tell me its my problem stating that they see some oil residue on brake rotars. How a problem with a new car bought 2-3 months ago becomes my problem? O also they scratched my car when left for diagnosis & had to get police involved to get them to fix it. Still no one called to apologize. What a great service. I am a Paramus resident & will spread a good word for them around

Beware of Annie R.
Beware of Annie R.'s "friendly" approach, especially if it is your first or second time visit for maintenance service at Hyundai Paramus. It will be easy to fall into her pressure tactics if you do not question everything, or are not already knowledgeable about each "necessary" service. A pretty new car with under 8,000 miles so far, with no other broken compartments, does NOT require 5-6 different services that cost $300 each, Total of a $1,500+ overcharge of unnecessary services. Upon being asked if these were absolutely necessary (since this was all new to me at the time), Annie would conveniently leave out the fact that these are optional or unnecessary for a new car, but she would make you fear that if not done, there would be risks you don't want happening. Once I had highlighted the fact that my mileage was still very low for all of that, she said mileage in this case does NOT matter, and that not having come for maintenance every 6 months was the cause of this accumulation of costs & services. (which was very incompetent of her as a "service specialist"). Then she continued to lure me into the "special discount" deception, throwing flattering jokes & compliments my way in between. I believe there may be many new or amateur car owners falling into prey of these scams, if not fully aware. Having spoken to other Hyundai HQ vehicle researchers/engine quality inspectors & several other professional mechanics/services, ALL have come back to me telling me that I have been terribly scammed, and all but 1 service done was absolutely unnecessary at this time. These guilt-tripping, deceiving, pressuring tactics must cease to work. Hyundai Paramus, sometime sooner or later, these tactics will ruin your reputation for good. Every business has a goal to earn money, but approaching your customers as prey in every opportunity you get, is something different. I will not recommend Hyundai Paramus to ANYONE.

After struggling to make an appointment for months, I
After struggling to make an appointment for months, I took my car for a recall, turned out they couldn't perform the recall due to less than optimal battery of my car. They wanted to charge 500 for a battery. My car is not electric. What a nasty place, i regret buying Hyundai. I lost about 200 dollars on Uber and lost wages thinking it was a serious recall. Will complain to the customer bureau of NJ.
