Great experience

I purchased my 2014 Subaru Forester from Mike in December 2014 with 13,000 miles on it. Today it has 89,863 miles, it has cost me 1 set of tires and about 8 or 9 oil changes. It has been trouble free car that I have ever owned The car ride and looks like it did on day one. I plan to buy my next car from Imports Unlimited.

Customer

Mike and his staff have always treated me well. My wife and I have bought cars from Mike that have lasted for years and at a very reasonable price. I would not hesitate to buy another car from Mike in the future.

worst saleman ever

mike is too arrogan. The cars are all damaged but didnt show in the picture. The price is reasonable if all their cars look like in the pictures. If it's damage and imperfect then the price should be way lower than advertised.

Dealer response

this review is somewhat unclear, it probably came about because we are not negotiable, some of our cars have very minor blemishes and they are not always visible by photo minor scratches or a nick on a wheel are examples ,if you call us we always will do a walk around or face time , sorry for this inconvenience

Straight forward

Cars look amazing online but be sure to test drive and make sure the title is clean. Straight to the point.

JUST PICKED UP OUR 7TH CAR FROM IMPORTS UNLIMITED

Just picked up our seventh used car from Imports Unlimited, this time coming up from North Carolina to take delivery. Mike is honest, fair, upfront and easy to do business with. These are salvage cars - he only buys "dry" flood cars - and he has been doing it for over 20 years, so he knows what he is doing. The cars are in perfect condition, fully inspected, warrantied, and offered at a great price. With the previous six cars, over a period of about 15 years, we have never had a single problem. Why pay more?????

Nope never

Basically overpriced salvage title cars and they don't show the true damage in their pictures though they do disclose some of the damage when you get ready to buy..... You can always find better. I certainly did.

Dealer response

my pricing is usually way behind the market the problem with this review is the reason the photos do not show the true damage is because we buy the non-damaged cars from insurance companies, we then give a life time warranty on the fact that they were not damaged, we buy most of our cars from the south and the quality is real, we tried the wholesale auction once , but for the type of quality we want at these low prices it is almost impossible to find, it is easy for a dealer to find low pricing on cars that need a lot of reconditioning , we are not interested in reconditioning a beat up car and having a nice deal by getting out inventory in this manner, as much as most people think they are getting a great deal in most cases if the price is low the quality may look like it is there but it's not

Very good service

The dealer was up front and honest about the vehicle that I was interested in.

Best dealership experience I have had

While looking for a specific vehicle (Mercedes E550, sport package, p2, pano roof, and 4 matic), I ended up searching nationwide to find the vehicle I was after at the price I was willing to pay. I stumbled on an ad for my car and it had incredibly low miles (24k) and was priced well below what every other vehicle was that I had run across. After a great deal of reading, I could find very minimal negative feedback on this dealership, and nothing in regards to problems with the vehicles themselves. A person complaining about going to the dealership and not getting enough attention, Another complaining that they had to bring the car back to be fixed (which it was... for free), etc. For a used car, this comes with the territory. The owner (who I believe tends to be the main sales person) took a great deal of time going through their buying and inspection process. My car, like the majority of the vehicles there is a flood related insurance loss resulting in a "rebuilt" title. I am very familiar with insurance practices so this did not scare me much. Mike put his money where his mouth was and included a lifetime warranty on anything related to the reason for prior salvage (water), and a 60 day parts and labor warranty. Note: the labor rate would not be "take it to your local shop" rate, but what he pays his techs, and he would provide parts. I have owned my Mercedes since April, and have had ZERO issues related to the water. I went through all fluids (I was told they were replaced by them prior to sending the vehicle out)...Everything seemed fresh as was disclosed. I DID have a few small issues with the car. I will be clear however, These were NOT issues they had tried to hide, but simple "it's a German import" items. The car did not arrive with these and they manifested themselves about 6 weeks after I obtained the vehicle and had driven it back to Minnesota from Colorado. I called up and spoke with Dave, the head of their service department who was extremely helpful. He is extremely knowledgeable with these vehicles. They went well above and beyond any expectations I could have had and provided the parts needed to resolve the problems (some air suspension issues in the first year of my model.... widely known and even had a Mercedes service bulletin on the topic). I have owned dozens of cars in my life and bought many from dealerships locally. I have to say, the service I received from these guys from half way across the country far exceeds what I have had at my local Mercedes, BMW, and Land Rover dealerships. I watch their inventory whenever I hear of a friend looking to buy a new vehicle. They will probably be getting a call from my co-worker for a c class 4 matic soon! If you have an hesitations about these guys, put your mind at ease. Give them a call and you won't get a slick salesperson... you might have to wait for a call back. Why? Because they take the time to educate you about the vehicle you are interested and stand behind what they sell. A+ (I had a follow up question just this week and Dave took the time to call me and discuss something I was curious about which has inspired this longer term review).
