Low Budget Dealer

Dealer is trying to sell flood cars with a "rebuild" title for more than blue book value. The car shown to me needed repairs that the dealer would not fix until he received a deposit. I don't know of too many people that want to put a deposit on a car that needs repair. The owner was too busy to give me more than 15 minutes of his time. I was not impressed to say the least.

Dealer response

If you check our pricing you will see the first sentence in this review is totally not true, our customers call here Usually because of our pricing (it being quite low relative to the market value) The next part of the statement is a choice that was probably given if a car that has something that needs to be done, we put it in promises on the purchase order, it was probably pretty minor, most of our cars do not need anything, and we allow customers to put deposits on cars with promises As to the owner (me) not giving you enough time, there must have been a good reason for this (If it is true) Call me; I take the time to explain my business very thoroughly Mike C

Your loss NOT mine

I had inquired about a 2012 Infinity via email and told the salesperson who replied I would stop by with my wife. My wife and I went there and looked at the car in the showroom. The salesperson came over and gave us the impression we had bothered him. We looked at the car and asked the questions about the rebuilt title and other things about the vehicle. While we looked he aswered a call on his cellphone and walked away talking and ended up at his desk leaving us just standing there. Seeing that it seemed to be more of a personal call we waited a few minutes and left. I am in sales, not car sales, and realize the challenge in todays economy of getting things sold. I didnt realize that it was that easy to sell a $30,000 vehicle that you could show zero interest in a customer and still get the sale.... I have since visited the Infinity dealer, who treated me like a customer they wanted, and am in the process of purchasing new instead of used. Learn some customer service skills if you are going to deal with the public and are going to actually try to sell something.

I am sorry this had to happen ,we do keep the sales staff small unlike most dealers, some of this savings is passed through in the low pricing we offer, we do get busy from time to time, I am sure the salesman excused himself for the moment had interest in selling the car, Patience is necessary at our dealership

Very Positive Experience

I purchased a used 2005 Porsche Boxster. The car underwent a strict PA inspection and then another by my local Porsche mechanic. He only works on Porsches. The auto passed both inspections perfectly. The car is exactly what I wanted -- a high performance car at a good price that was mecanicaly sound. The dealership worked with me very responsibly. They held the car as they said they would, answered my questions patiently, and were very helpful throughout the purchase process. The dealer was not pushy nor did they over-represent the car in any way. They kept the discussion very factual. Driving the car is great, pure fun. My kids and I are having a blast with it. Would I do it again? You bet, but I don't have to, not for a while at least. This one is a keeper. Thank you, Imports Unlimited.

Bad Service from the Start and lies to go with it

Noticed a very well priced 2010 Mercedes Benz E Class on Cars.com and stopped by to visit this is where the nightmare began, Upon entering the showroom or what they call a showroom no one greeted me and my friend we stood around for 10 minutes before any help was offered at all. We ended up speaking with a older gentlemen by the name of Rick which is short for Richard. We spoke to him about the car and asked to see the car at this time he could not tell if the car was present or not and if it had been sold before we arrived, We informed Rick the car was outside as we had noticed it and took a peek after pulling in. Once he was able to find the Key we went outside to look and started up the car and looked it over car was in great shape minus the Hood Emblem which had been ripped off apparently overnight according to Rick the salesmen. After looking at the car we went back inside and talked numbers on my trade in which was a 2009 Jaguar XF supercharged with 36K and in mint condition i wanted 32k for the trade in and he agreed just said he needed to have his Appraiser look the car over, Well after that we left and he promised he would call the next day with the approval and information to complete the process. After promising to call no phone call ever came so 2 days later i called Rick(Richard) and asked what was going on he said a lot of people were out of work because of the flu and he would finish up the paperwork and call me back the next day, Once again no phone call so i called back and he said he had to check a few things and call me back again, So 6 hours later he finally called back and told me they could not take my trade in and to take it to Carmax and have them buy it then come back to them and purchase the 2010 Mercedes E350... and they had to many cars on the lot and could not do the trade in after for almost a week stringing me along.. This service is horrible and the dealership is shady so beware if you buy here as they only offer one form of financing and its a local credit union they deal with due to the fact all the cars on the lot have Rebuilt or Salvaged Titles.. and most banks will not finance these types of cars... TAKE IT FROM ME STEER CLEAR OF THIS PLACE....

Dealer response

let me first apologize for the salesman taking so long to return your calls ,we did have some people out that week so his workload was double I am sorry but this statement made here is partially true the trade in had not been decided on and when we decided not to take it in, we did suggest car max, I believe this made for a unhappy customer , as to financing our vehicles there are many banks and credit unions that do , just call for a list

Gotta Want It

Contacted this dealership via phone because they had a ridiculously priced 2011 BMW M3. The salesman was very forthright about the dealership's practice of dealing in water-damaged and theft recovery insurance claim vehicles. However, he was quite dodgy when asked about the specific circumstances if the particular vehicle I was looking at. Ultimately, he said that someone in service would get back to me with the detail I was asking for. In the end, I never heard anything from the dealership regarding this car. For anyone considering purchasing a car from this dealership in the future, make sure you do your homework. Definitely get the VIN and run your own Carfax. And, know that a salvage vehicle will plague you when you turn around to sell it later in. More than ever, let the buyer beware!

Steve

My wife and I bought 2 vehicles from Mike, a 1998 Nissan Pathfinder and a 2002 Nissan Pathfinder. We have had no problems with these vehicles outside of normal wear and tear. Our meetings with Mike were very friendly and proffessional. He answered all of our questions with out any hesitation including rebuilt titles. We would not hesitate to purchase another vehicle from Mike in the future.

Used Car

I would never purchase a car from this place I went all the way to Wallingford to purchase a car. They said it had been in one accident, which didn't seem so. The owner was very pushy and very very rude. He said the car belonged to a "60 year old lady" as I was leaving the dealership a lady told my brother that the car had been in several accidents. I don't recommend buying a car from this place.

Good service, great deal

I recently purchased a F150 from Imports Unlimited. I will admit I was a little leery after speaking with them over the phone and finding out it was a flood damaged vehicle, however once seeing and driving the truck decided to purchase. The truck has been fine and has no problems all at a cost to me thousands less than other similar trucks (due to the history). I would definitely not hesitate to deal with them again.

Great Cars, Great Deals, Great Experience

My family and I have been buying cars from Imports Unlimited since the mid 90. We have bought all of our cars from the dealership and recommend them to all our friends and family. It is always nice dealing with the employees there, you walk in, they are up front with all the information on the vehicles, and always set prices at their lowest. I just recently had a friend ask to buy my car, so after selling it to him, I went straight to Imports Unlimited and left with a practically brand new 2010 VW Golf that looks and performs like I just bought a brand new Golf from the dealer, but at a huge discount. I still get compliments on the car to the day! My family and I will be customers for life!
