This was a great experience. Kameron listened to what I was looking for in a car (and it was not easy) and accepted the challenge. He made the experience very easy and smooth. I would recommened Kameron to any one looking for a car. Peter was excellent. He explained all of the details, papers your were signing very easy to understand and answered all of the questions I may have had. He didn't make you feel like this was a "business transaction", he made you feel like you have known him for yers. Everyone that I encountered was friendly and very professional. Kameron and Peter will be my #1 choice for any vehicles I choose to buy in the future.

I was blown away at how everyone who I dealt with did everything they could to help me get what I wanted or needed. Even the ones who I didn't deals with were very friendly and made me feel right at home. I didn't just feel like a customer but part of their family. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a car. They made car buying enjoyable and would come back there when or if I ever need a car again.

Disappointed
I was so disappointed when I went to the dealership yesterday morning. I was interested in looking at the Scion xb. I arrived and parked in front of the sales floor and went in. Very nice and very clean. I could not see the vehicle I was interested in, so I walked the full length of the dealership 2 different times and not once did anyone even acknowledge that I was even there. I walked down to the opposite end from the service and even went outside and into that parking lot out back. I came back and walked around the front lot and again.... did not see what I was looking for and no one was around to help. I came back into the building and then decided to leave. I got in my car started to pull out onto 74 and pulled a u-turn and came back in and parked again. From there I walked out to the used lot and found 2 Scion xb's and looked inside of them as best I could. Still no one ever said a word to me and there was some activity in this particular lot. I then walked back to my car, got in and drove off. When I was in business, this is something that did not happen, but if it had ..... I would have wanted to know about it..... so now you know. Thank you Mark Barnett

We had such an enjoyable experience buying a car from Robert Van Alstyne that my husband and I want to invite him over for dinner to celebrate. I’m not kidding. It was that pleasant. I had emailed five dealerships asking for a price on a Toyota Highlander Limited on a Friday night. Rob responded immediately and sent me a price within a couple of hours. By 11 a.m. Saturday, the four others had responded, but no one else gave me a price. My husband and I went to Scott Clark Toyota and asked for Rob. The car I had inquired about was sold the day before, so he showed us others. He carefully pointed out all the features and the shortcomings such as, “If you have seven people in this car, there’s not much room for luggage.” How refreshing not to be over-sold! Rob’s previous career owning and operating a high-end custom landscaping company (typical projects in the $25K-$200K range) prepared him well for his current role. The level of service Rob provides is what you’d expect with a luxury vehicle, but it’s at a Toyota price! Rob has stayed in contact with us in the three weeks since we purchased. You can tell he really wants his customers to be happy with their vehicle of choice. Since buying my new Highlander, I’ve been reflecting on my first job answering the phones on Saturdays at a local car dealership while I was in high school. The schedule the sales force works is brutal – late into the night, every weekend and every holiday. Potential customers make appointments, and then do not show up. People naturally come to the car buying process with a defensive stance. And, the sales people put their lives in jeopardy every day jumping into cars with strangers test driving. It takes a hard worker who is not faint of heart to sell cars and be successful. That’s Rob. When you have an amazing car-buying experience, you have to document it. Rob is a gem, and everyone we encountered with Scott Clark Toyota was excellent. When you are in the market for a new Toyota, Scion or a previously-loved car (like the one I traded in), we highly recommend Rob and Scott Clark Toyota. Plus, the complimentary manicures when you have your car serviced at Scott Clark Toyota are sweet!

I had shopped several dealers in the Gastonia are, Toyota and Nissan, to name a few and then I had the great opportunity to meet Mike Black at Scott Clarks Toyota. My experience at the Gastonia dealers was the same old, "dance and game playing", that some dealers do. Not with Mike. When I first met Mike it was by chance and my appearance gave the impression that I could barely afford to buy a coke, much less a brand new 2013 Toyota Tacoma. That did not change Mike one bit. Upon my first hand shake with him to the completion of the sale Mike was very professional, sincerely friendly, and very very knowledgeable of the product. I had met Mike on a Thursday for about 30 minutes, returned Friday with my wife to look at colors and was there about 45 minutes at which time I agreed to make the deal with Mike. Saturday I completed the paper work and took possession of my new Toyota Tacoma. My entire experience with all the team at Scott Clarks was really great. Marc Bartalini in the business section helped me through the paper work and sale completion with the cashier department. Marc was no different than Mike. Very professional, friendly, helpful and again very knowledgeable. Then entire staff at Scott Clark to include the young lady who delivered the vehicle to me were outstanding. I am a Vietnam veteran, 64yrs old, and have met and dealt with many people through the years, to include car dealers, and in my opinion Scott Clarks Toyota is the most outstanding I have ever met. I could write volumes of my wonderful, stress free purchase from Scott Clark, but will simply say, OUTSTANDING. I highly recommend this Toyota Dealer......Thank you Mike Black and Scott Clarks Toyota.

Pleasant Journey
I had a 2009 Corolla S- silver; lost it in a divorce! That, to me, was my dream car and I knew I wanted one myself. I recently started searching online (CarTrader.com) for a Corolla S within a 60mile radius and found this BEAUTIFUL gray metallic 2010 Corolla S located at Scott Clark's Toyota. While at work the very next day, I had to see it again. I logged directly onto Scott Clark's and requested more information ... not even 15 minutes later, Robert Van Alstyne called me, as if we had been friends forever, asking when I wanted to test drive my new car! Wording is key people! I scheduled to see the car that evening. It was the evening that it stormed so bad. I had never been to Scott Clark's Toyota. I bought my other Corolla at the Concord Mills Toyota dealership. I pulled into Scott Clark's, this place was amazing. Walked inside and was nicely greeted by a young lady (I do not know her name) and I realized my name was on an electronic board. I pointed and said that is me, I am to meet Robert. 38 Seconds later Robert walks in! I liked that he was ready to get started! We found the car in the detailing area where it was still getting cleaned up and was about to get a buffer job to the bumper, so at that time it was not test drivable and not ready to go home with me. I was very okay with that, because I already knew I wanted it. We went inside to begin "the process" . Although the car sold itself and the price was not too bad, there was really no negotiating. Robert did move some numbers around slightly and shared some VERY GOOD credit and payment advise!! In the mist of looking at the car and walking around Robert asked why I bought the last Corolla at the Concord Mills location. I told him only due to the location and the convenience. At that time, Robert told me after I sign all the paperwork he would have the car delivered to me the next day and my car picked up ... with a full tank of gas! Done deal. Sign here! :) Although it is a small 25-30 minute drive, I will have my Corolla S serviced there- not to mention that after getting the oil changed the car will be washed and I will be inside getting a pedicure on them (I think)! Scott Clark's Toyota has wonderful staff, the customer service is top notch, the property is beautiful, the atmosphere is perfect, and the experience for me was fun!

Customer Service
I continue to receive mailings from Jimmy Cline and Chris Cady concerning a car my father owned. I have made numerous requests over the years to have his name deleted from their mailing list with no success. He died in 2010!

The overall experience was very good and the service before and after the sale has been excellent. I bought a Prius, which is in high demand since gas prices are high right now, and I think I got a pretty good deal. I recommend th is dealership to friends.
