My 2nd RDX
This is my second rdx. My first was a2007 with tech. I thought the 07 RDX the best car I've ever owned. The new one is a more refined version. It isn't as fun to drive but it is quieter, more comfortable and rides better. This is an improvement over a very good car. Now here's my gripe. This wasn't a cheap car. The technology package is inferior to most others out there. I have an Iphone 4S. The phone package won't let me scroll the phone book when the car is moving, even by voice...when you really need it. Now I have to access it by looking at my phone. Acura calls this a safety feature. The amount of steps just to make a call with a Voice tag is unbelievable. THe USB port will not access the music on the Iphone if I go into another input unless I unplug it and plug it back in. And here's the kicker, it will read text messages, but only from a Blackberry. So, if you don't care about the tech stuff. It's a great car, but if you do, then buy something else. Even non premium cars have better systems at a much less. Come on Acura. Get this fixed.

2013 RDX FWD With Tech Package
My wife and I recently purchased an 2013 RDX FWD With Tech Package. We drove many SUV's from different manufactures and were very impressed by the interior comfort and the smooth ride of the RDX over the other vehicles. I did alot of research and contacted many dealers regarding what I was willing to spend. We ended up buying the RDX from our home town dealer. The MSRP was $38,020 + $895 Distination Fee. We paid $37,000 + Tax & Lic. We also purchased $1,300 in accessories which the dealer gave us a 20% discount on and they thru in Wheel Locks and Front & Rear Splash Gaurds. We have had the RDX for a couple weeks and are very happy with our decision. We would reccomend this SUV to anyone who asks about it.

First SUV.
With a newborn at home, it was time to look for a larger vehicle. I've been an Audi driver for the last 12 years with the exception of 3 years with a BMW 335. My favorite car was my 2005 Audi S4. Long story short; these cars were both reasonably fast. With that, I was a little nervous about cashing in performance for size. I did my homework on the usual websites and got a short list of the small SUV's that were well reviewed and within my budget. This list included : the Ford Escape, Nissan Murano, Volkswagen Toureg, Acura RDX, Infiniti EX35, and the Audi Q5. I took the time to test-drive all of the cars on my list. I was immediately impressed with the Acura RDX. It was incredibly well equipped for the price. I drove both the 2012 and 2013 models. Whereas both cars drove well; there was a noticeable improvement in the 2013 model. The 2013 was slightly more comfortable and the engine had a smoother transition between gears. The major selling point was the fact that the 2013 RDX has a 273 hp V6 engine that gets 28 miles per gallon and takes regular unleaded as opposed to the 2012 that is a tubo-charged V4 that gets 22 miles per gallon and takes premium unleaded. The 2013 V6 drove more like my old Audi and BMW. I felt like the vehicle had power to spare and did the 0-60 in impressive time. That coupled with the economic advantages with the fuel costs, and beautiful styling made for a quick sale at the Acura dealership.
