A little sloppy in high speed turns, replaced puddle

A little sloppy in high speed turns, replaced puddle lights a couple of times, replaced rotors on a soft recall, headlight and tail light went out but all covered under warranty. Drives smooth, suspension is overall good, looks amazing, navigation is atrocious and difficult to use, should be touch screen. 32k on odometer.

Do not purchase or lease

Leased a brand new 2021 Acura TLX in Oct 2020 and the car started having issues about 6 months later and since this time there have been numerous problems. Car stalls and shuts down when on a hill, brakes are squeaky, towed 3 times because it wouldn’t start, battery died twice within 6 months. I can’t wait to turn this car in, I’m ending the lease 3 months in advance. Service should be a lot better for a “luxury “ car. The dealer never has loaner cars available, ridiculous.

Killer looks but beware of the build quality

I’ve had my 2021 TLX A spec FWD for a full year and put 16,000 miles on it. My takeaways: Good car but has some serious build quality issues. I’ve had three sets of LED puddle lamps on the mirrors installed because they keep failing/ going out. Brakes are insanely noisy if the temp drops below just 75 degrees, and I mean crazy squeaky. I’ve had a rattling in my drivers door that they can’t find or fix. My interior lighting started going entirely out and the windows and sunroof stopped working, plus the car wouldn’t alarm/lock as well about 7 months into owning. Took it in and they kept the car 3 days to find a fuse panel has rusted out…. not sure how on a brand new car this happens. On top of this the CarPlay works maybe 20% of the time without having issues, it’s terrible. My old 2019 TLX, no issues. I’ve shown the dealer pictures and videos of the system completely failing and my display in between the speedometer also totally freezing. No solution except they just reset the system which did nothing. Replaced Fikra cables after I insisted which has seemed to help some but it still glitches. Sigh. The cars also is pretty noisy in the inside as others have mentioned. Nothing terrible but I wouldn’t put it at BMW or Audi level quiet which it should be for the price. Good things: it looks great inside and out! I’m still a huge fan of the styling and it drives very well for the size. Wish they put better tires on the car, which would help with the sound issues I’m sure too, but overall it looks killer and is extremely comfortable. The sound system after some tweaking is also by far the best I’ve heard. The 17 speaker surround is honestly too good for words. I wish Acura wouldn’t have dropped the ball on the build quality so much or I’d keep the car but after 6+ dealer trips in a year I’m ready to say goodbye. Hopefully they fix these issues!

Avoid TLX

Issues with vehicle since purchase. Car 18 months old on needs its THIRD set of brakes. Very noisy car on highway. Rubber hood trim is peeling. Poor manufacturer/dealer service.

The engineers did a great job

Brand-new chassis. TLX drives with precision and performance. Acura took it to a whole new level. Suspension is outstanding and the steering is quick. Engineers did a great job this time around.

Great car overall; however, it has noise issues

I have the 2021 TLX A-Spec, which is a great looking car. I especially like the sound system, which rivals the Harmon Cardon which I had in my 2018 Kia Stinger; however, since day one I've been having noise issues. There is excessive wind noise at speeds 50mph and over. The other issue is a nagging noise coming from the steering wheel. I already left it a couple of times at the dealership, and it was fixed the second time, only to come back again. I already made a third appointment to look into it, again...

Better than Mercedes C300

This 2021 TLX is fantastic. The ride, handling, sound system, and power are tremendous and better than the 2020 Mercedes C300, which I traded for this car. The only negative I would say about this car is that the fonts on the instrument panel are too small. The suspension dampening system is especially awesome despite the cars very heavy weight.

2021 Acura tlx ASpec front wheel drive.

Bought car brand new only has 1500 miles on it. I noticed that on newly highways with brand new concrete groves the car starts to fish tail left and right aggressively. To car back to dealer and they say it’s a suspension issue They test drive another new exact car as mine. Same everything and it did the same thing. So far the dealer kept my car and put me on a rental. They are contacting Acura engineers about this issue. Not sure if the all wheel drive reacts the same. Also I don’t use drive assist. I always keep it off. I wouldn’t recommend this car at this time. Could cause a accident
