Love this car!

Love this car! We were sizing down after three JEEP grand Cherokees and a Buick Enclave. We finally went with something more like a car. I am always attracted to more interesting and unusual (wouldn’t know it by my last four cars!) and when I first saw one of these I was so intrigued I had to research it. Then search the country for the color and options I wanted. They are a bit rare! But they drive like a dream. And always garner interest among other drivers. It is quick, has been extremely reliable and carefree. And the sure-footedness of all wheel drive has been great in the rain and snow of the Pacific Northwest. Plus I’m getting over 30mph flying across the west on regular unleaded! And it is cavernous, both in overall capacity, but even for my 6+ footer boys in the back seat. I haven’t been as happy driving a car since the sport cars of my youth! Only giving it four stars in comfort because the drivers seat is a little too narrow for long hauls for my larger frame. But the fun makes up for it!

Smooth Riding Buick

This is the best car I ever owned, on the road it is so smooth and quiet Its also very stylish and Buick and GM blew it by not really trying to sell them They should have broght it over from Germany in the GSI trim they would have sold a ton of them

My favorite car ever

I love my Buick Regal Tourx. I liked it at first but felt it was too expensive for my budget. However, my wife offered to pay for 1/3 of the cost. So, we bought it in August of 2018. I am 80 years old, so I have owned many cars over the years. Probably around 25 of them. I have had more people praise the styling and classy aura of the car, than all the previous cars, combined! As of December of 2020, my only expenses have been gasoline. The dealer gave me lifetime oil changes. Everything works well. Many folks ask me, "is it a sedan or a SUV or a wagon, or what?" I say that I do not know but I don't care. It serves me in all those ways and features! Best buy I have ever made for reliable and joyful transportation.

Best station wagon I ever owned.

The best quiet, comfortable and luxurious ride ever. Great german build quality and looks. I wish it was available with the "GS"engine and trim package and not a discontinued model now.

Almost gets too much attention!

20,000 miles on a 2018 Essence and we couldn't be happier with this "Buick" by Opel. Quiet, efficient, reliable and fun to drive. Not many modern vehicles earn a second look from anyone; the TourX often gets triple-takes and compliments from strangers. Peace of mind: The smooth 2.0 liter turbo engine is found in many other GM vehicles, so maintenance and repair won't be an issue. And the pleasant Aisin 8-speed tranny is in wide use in popular cars including the Toyota Camry. To sum up, we feel quite spoiled by the TourX in Essence trim. It was like buying a loaded Audi or BMW at a stripped Kia price. In fact, our TourX recently put a rented Audi to shame in every perceivable way. It's mystifying why Buick doesn't keep this sporty car in their dwindling lineup of miniature-to-bloated crossovers. That's GM for you...... Get a Regal TourX while you can.

Good, practical, with a couple of small issues

Quiet, has handled every road I have gone on, from interstate to roads not on google maps, and has not just survived, but thrived. Would like to see a tiny bit more ground clearance. But that is why my other vehicle is a wrangler

Great choice for a wagon

Really wanted a wagon that wasn't lifted like an outback so i still got car like handling. Paid 26k for a 2018 with every feature you could get, so i think it was a pretty decent value. Car handles and performs great, interior is comfortable, and very spacious. Everyone commends the rear leg room.

Love It So Far...

Saw one of these on the highway returning from the Holidays and thought it was a BMW. When I got home I looked it up. I drive a 2013 Honda Pilot about 27,000 miles a year, mostly commuting. The miles are racking up and I don't want to buy another SUV for my towing requirements. I will split the miles between the vehicles with the Buick as my main commuter car. I found a 2018 nicely optioned Preferred at a dealer that had been used as a loaner car. I got a great price on it and it has the remainder of all the warranties. The Good: Great styling and performance. I use the manual shift when merging or passing and this thing really moves. Power band starts to peak at 3000 rpm. Use it! Also, put the car in manual mode at a light and the auto-stop is disabled. Good Bose system. The OK: Small mirrors inside and out. Worried about blind spots. Inside rear view auto dimming feature isn't very effective to my eyes. The backup camera, however, is superb! Very low to the ground. I am 6'2" and weigh 215. This car is really low compared to my Pilot, but I knew that going in. Driver's door hits the frozen snow bank on the curb when I park on the street. The Not So Good: No compact spare. Not unique to this vehicle. I went online to the Buick Forum and figured out which compact spare will work. I am picking one up at a local salvage yard. Roof rack looks like it was designed by a different company. I need a roof rack for my SUP, but I don't want to buy the factory one. Hope there are aftermarket towers that fit the rails. Lack of interior storage. Large door bins, but not my preferred storage area. Overall: I really hope this car lives up to its promise. I plan to limit the miles to maximize the warranty coverage. I usually buy new and drive a car between 150000 and 200000 miles depending on reliability and annual repair bills, so we'll see. Not sure how much value this car will retain, as GM has already stopped marketing it.

Love the care however the Defrost...

I love my car and I get lots of compliments. My new normal is to find some man standing outside my car admiring the Buick station wagon. However it takes 20 minutes each morning to defrost the car. The purpose of the remote start is to warm the car and defrost the windows. He doesn’t do that all all. It puts and extra 20 minutes on my commute waiting for the window to defrost
