NO OIL

Love the vehicle ! Would not lease another one because I found it is to small for my needs! Recently for sone reason I lifted the hood to check the oil and found it had none not a drop ! Had to ad a quart ! Calling the dealership in the morning as it is due for an oil change anyway ! Having no oil is a major concern , the vehicle only has 12000 miles on it .

Performance and great looks

I traded in my 2011 SRX and yes, there are differences. Premium gas for one but performance is great. I took my time and put some miles on it first and after about 800 I started going over 80 at times because when I travel, that’s the speed on the interstates. Car runs great. I opened it up one clear day with low traffic and no problem doing 100 mph. I understand the top end is 131 mph. Car steers beautiful on and off the interstates. Rural roads are no problem. Car bounces a little more than I’m used to but slowly getting adjusted. I love the pickup with the 9 speed transmission; this car can GO! Very happy with my purchase. Wish the rear storage could be 5 inches deeper so I could put the golf clubs in without putting one side of the rear seat down but that’s only once or twice a week. .

The fun is just beginning!

I don't drive very much now days but when I do I want it to be fun and enjoyable. As a former racer I want a car that handles and performs, not wild and crazy but just enough. Plus I have to haul all my "stuff" around so this gives me all I need.

Fun car to drive, excellent curb appeal!!

I've owned MANY vehicles during my life and this is one of my favs!! It's gorgeous, fun to drive, decent gas mileage and performance, and easy to operate the technology. Already have 12k miles, so have had in every condition. It passes ALL of them!

Why buy a German car????

I ABSOLUTELY love everything about the CADILLAC XT-4. The controls are logical and not overdone like the German cars. The engine is plenty powerful and quiet (no it probably is not as fast as the PORSCHE MACON but who cares?). It is luxurious. Unlike the Land Rover, Mercedes, and Porsche functionality is more important than styling and despite that the XT-4 styling is BEAUTIFUL and UNIQUE does not look like every other mid-size SUV. Europeans cars are mechanical NIGHTMARES! Every time I take my MERCEDES in for service it costs a minimum of $2,500. After years of owning a German car I came to the realization that owner's of these higher end European brands are brand loyal They rarely drive anything else and have no clue what normal maintenance should cost. Case and point. I have a friend who is loyal to BMW and when I suggested that he consider a LEXUS he said why would he do that when he already has an excellent German mechanic!!! I previously had a GMC DENALI and it was the most reliable car that I ever had despite the horrible reviews.

Very nice!

I like it alot, so far. Only had it a few weeks but so far so good. It's a little bigger than the RX350 I had and the back "trunk" space is actually smaller than my RX350 but this XT5 runs smooth, has pep and is very comfortable. AND 19 gal gas tank as opposed to 13 w/RX.

Transmission failure

Bought a 2019 XT4 in late Nov 2019. On Feb 17, 2020, with only 2200 miles on the car, the transmission failed. I was driving around 70 mph in the left lane of the hwy and the car suddenly felt like either the brakes were slammed or it shifted from 4th to 1st. A car behind me swerved to the right & I was able to swerve onto the shoulder. Once in park, the engine light and transmission failure notice came on. The car wouldn't shift after that. It was towed to the dealership, & I was told it needs a new transmission. This is so dangerous, & someone is going to get hurt.GM issued a Service Bulletin (18-NA-378) in Feb 2019, but there continues to be issues. My car is still in the shop, and now I'm scared to drive on the highway.

Gear shift issues

Beautiful car. Bought in June 2019. Been in dealership 6 times. Once they had my car for two weeks. Transmission slipped into neutral. Had to restart car five times before I could get it out of neutral. Happened while I was driving. Several months later, keeps slipping into D1, D3 on the highway suddenly. Also ignition would not turn off. Radio was still going an hour later when I got back into car. Also had a recall on shifter. Three time’s now. I’m done with this car. It also runs rough on any bumpy road.

Absolutely love this car!

This car has everything I ever wanted in a car and then some. Every luxury item you can think of it has. The driver's seat even massages! I highly recommend this car!
