A Performance Bargain

Ordered new Camaro 2SS with 6-speed, Brembo brakes, performance exhaust and magnetic ride. I am a senior and over the years I have owned Corvettes, 3 Ferraris and lots of Porsches. This is the best total package at this price point I have experienced. Makes me grin every time I drive it. DF

Stylish but Bad

The 2016 Chevy Camaro is one of the most disappointing cars I have driven this year. From its tiny claustrophobic interior, to its cheap infotainment system and its unusable back seats, it is one car that I don't believe is worth the money. The Camaro is a very sleek and stylish car from the exterior but that's about the only good thing about the car. I would not recommend Camaro to anyone in the sports car market.

Fantastic Bargain for the Performance

I bought a lightly used 2SS coupe with the magnetic ride control, dual-mode performance exhaust, sunroof, and adrenaline red interior and drove it all the way from Spokane, WA to Los Angeles. The car was quiet and compliant the entire 1400 miles down and I got compliments and questions at every stop. This car is a real eye-catcher and the performance exhaust does a lot to help with that. It's nice and loud when you want it to be but you can get it pretty quiet in stealth mode for when you don't want the noise. Likewise, the magnetic ride control suspension is well worth the investment. You can feel the difference between the softest Tour mode and the stiffer Sport and Track modes. It makes dealing with little road bumps and cracks so much better on the day-to-day drive. I'd only recommend not splurging for it if you plan on upgrading the suspension to something stiffer yourself for track days or autocross. The manual is great. The shifter is nice and notchy, but the clutch has a very narrow friction point and wasn't particularly easy to learn on. That said, the clutch is soft enough to drive in traffic but has a nice responsive feel to it for more performance oriented driving. People knock on the visibility, which isn't too bad once you get used to it. You won't want to be the first car at a stoplight, but with the backup camera and sensors, as well as blind-spot monitoring, I don't feel any blinder in this car compared to my 5th gen Camaro. That said, compared to other cars on the market, there is a lack of visibility all around, especially towards the quarter panels. Other complaints include the placement of the drive mode switch right behind the shifter which makes it easy to switch modes when you're resting your hand or the location of the center air vents which your arms will block if you're holding a 9-and-3 position on your steering wheel. Overall, an absolutely wonderful car and a clear cut above the 5th generation Camaro. Good job, GM!

Camaro Convertible

I have enjoyed the car and its fun to have, we have a Tahoe too, so its nice to have a sporty convertible at the same time. The car has been great with no issues other than road noise, but thats expected with a convertible.

Love my Camaro

It is wonderful. Best decision besides buying my new Traverse there. Ken the salesman was great and I bought both cars from him.

Rear diff and trans issues TSB

I have less than 6k miles on my Camaro 2ss and it has had the transmission flushed 3 times, the rear diff flushed 9 times and the shudder is back. There is a TSB for this issue and for some reason Chevy can't get it worked out. Other then that I love the car! It is a beast it has good seating, explosive power with 455 hp 455 tq, the interior is much better than my 2010 2ss. Overall I would buy this car again it is a great handling car, with more tech features than I need.

2016 motor trend's best car of the year

I loved the car... No, not perfect, I wished it had more room for passengers in the rear, I wish visibility was a little better, but mainly the reason I had to get rid of it was the stiff suspension( didn't get the car with magnetic ride control $$$) so my wife complained too much...

Bang for your buck

For anybody shopping for an American sports car, prepared to be impressed. The Camaro is slightly more expensive than the Mustang but the two-door Chevy is definitely worth the value. The Camaro SS is more than half the cost of many german sports cars with the same performance, features, and comfort.
