Best Colorado

Great vehicle. I have driven many different makes and models of trucks and the Chevrolet Colorado is the best.

Engineers Outdid Themselves On This One !!

I purchased this truck used in 2010 and my ONLY complaint is the legroom in the crew seat is a bit lacking in comfort for adults. Three kids ride comfortably even for long distances. Mileage is great on the 5 cyl at around 20 mpg. Pulls a trailer with ease. Very easy to handle. 4WD is very dependable,as is the entire truck for that matter. Filters are readily accessible and easy to change. VERY peppy truck. I have owned more trucks than I care to remember over the years and this one tops them all !! Buy one !! You won't be disappointed !!

fair for the price

a good looking truck with plenty of power for a 4 cylinder. Heavy suspension makes for a hard ride and it has some wind noise from the passenger side. overall for the money - a workhorse of a truck.

FAIR FOR THE MONEY

My main complaint with this truck is the cheap interior and wind and road noise. I have the 2.8 model with automatic z-71 model. NO CARPET - vinyl on the floors, extreme wind noise from the passenger side and with the stiff suspension, the road noise. Also, on the drivers side rear behind the cab, it sounds as if something is loose. as far as mileage - 20 city, 25 hwy. A great looking truck, but wish i had looked around more for something a litter better.

Nice Truck....

I have a 2005 Colorado Crew Cab, 2-wheel drive, 2.8L, Automatic. Great truck. I bought it used with 22,000 miles. It gets 20-22 mpg and will pull our tent trailer or three quads on a flat trailer quite easily. Buy one, you wont regret it!!

Best Pickup I've Ever Owned

Bought one with 20,000 miles on it that was a former rental. Now over 100k miles. Most dependable car I've ever owned, nothing but routine maintenence, and that isn't much. I average 18mpg, the truck tows well, is comfortable front and back, does everything I expect it to do without complaining.

Would buy another one if given the choice

I have had this truck for about a year and half and have loved it. I went from a full size Chevy truck to this and have never regretted it. I also looked at the Tacoma, Frontier and Dakota. In the end it came down to the cost of the truck and the value for it. The others could not even come close. I routinely use this for commuting, camping, road trips and managing some rentals I own. For me this truck is perfect. It is relatively inexpensive, fits in the garage easy, has a big enough bed to fit stuff and is thousands cheaper than the Japanese competition. It also gets great gas mileage (Consistently 18-19 city and low 22-23 on the highway). If this was ever wrecked and I had to buy another truck I would look for the same one. The comments about the interior are very valid and I think GM should do a better job on making the interior more appealing. Having said this, in the end this would increase the cost of the truck and, as mentioned, the cost was one of the main reasons I was attracted to this truck. A final note I think this truck fulfills its purpose as an economical vehicle that offers exceptional value, especially used.

poor gas mileage

this little truck is just that little i bought this truck becasue of reviews of a friend who said he loved his and loved the gas mileage. The Colorado is a great truck for an outdoor enthusiast it goes through the snow awesome 12inches last winter ice fishing (although i have put kelly atr tires on) and it goes through the mud well also its small enough for hunting big woods and manuevering on logging roads but it does not have a stiff enough suspension for towing i have a 16 ft. tracker aluminum boat that really squats my truck the interior is a little plain and the seating isnt very comfortable although you do have alot of leg room in the front but hardly any in the back seat, and the gas mileage is terrible for a small truck the best i have ever gotten was 15mpg the worst 12 i dont understand it the little 5 banger is not very efficient my buddies colorado is getting in the neighborhood of 20 mpg and mine 15 on a good day going down hill he did however say that he ordered his with 410 gears but i still believed i should get better mileage than i am. The trade in value sucks on these trucks i have 44000 miles in excellent shape and it lists at 12k. I cant wait to get rid of this truck and buy a full size truck again. Im only getting 15mpg my wife has a gmc yukon denali with 22inch rims and a 6.0 liter engine that gets 14- 16 mpg the only reason i down graded from a full size to this colorado was for the gas mileage boy was that a mistake same gas mileage half the truck

sweet little teuck

i have the 5cyl. engine automatic tranny, the only thing i hated about this truck were, the tires, i replaced the original tires with a set of michellin truck tires, it now rides very smooth and handles very well for a small truck
