The most fun and dependable car I have ever owned.

Growing up it was always my favorite car. Owning a corvette was only a dream for me. I love this car, it handles great, accelerates like a rocket and stops like it hit a wall.

Best bang for the buck

People frequently gripe about the corvette interior. I find it quite comfortable and more than adequate. I suppose you could compare this car, which cost me used $10,200, with a $300,000 Ferrari and complain about the materials, but that is comparing apples and oranges. Again, cars have gotten a lot quicker in the last 18 years, but this car has plenty of power and can run away from all but a select few of the cars on the road, mostly other newer corvettes. Though I may prefer the C3 styling, my C5 convertible is a beautiful car, simultaneously sleek, muscular, and sexy. When I see it in the parking lot, I still say ?Who?s the lucky xxxxxxx that owns that car?? My only complaint is that having purchased it used, I have a few mechanical issues that require repair, but I don?t blame that on the make or model: it is 18 years old with 111,000 miles on it. All in all, my 2000 corvette convertible is a great value: as I said in the heading, your best bang for the buck.

Bucket List Item Fulfilled

I'm a Vietnam vet and I know that every sacrificed soul that bought our freedom would have loved to owned one of these cars! There is no bad with these cars. A base C5 is still something to be admired, envied and respected for the engineering that went into making this performance car a reality! If you buy one be willing to drool over all the aftermarket upgrades that have evolved for this platform. I guess this is the testament to their popularity. These cars should have clear bodies so you could see and appreciate the technology and design that created such a marvel. If it were any other car moniker, it would have been priced beyond our common man reach! Thank goodness that the Corvette Museum has been working overtime to support the Corvette ideology! My corvette, a 2000 Navy blue metallic with oak interior is everything I could have hoped it would be. Oh sure! I have put upgraded brakes, bushings and adjustable bar ends, changed wires and put the best plugs I could find, changed both headlight motors. I changed the shocks, buffed the car to a mirror finish and put a set of silver rally stripes on her that make her my own. I never get in without remembering that there was and is, many who will never have the opportunity to set their butt in a corvette of any year and call it their own. To all that have dreamed of these cars and past on without realizing the delight of ownership, I drive mine as a testament of your dreams! C5 Corvettes have a timeless profile that just like all corvettes will never be looked upon as anything other than trend setting! There is nothing more I can say that will give you any idea of what these cars represent than you owe it to yourself (if you have been a corvette envying dreamer) to get one! I know it truly sounds self indulgent to the point of being sinful, but this needs to be on your bucket list!

Very comfortable seating and made to move.

Beautiful car, runs great, seating is comfortable, low to the road so you feel the road. A bit hard to get in and out of just because it is low to the road, but for a younger or middle aged person, this wouldn't be an issue.

she does the boogie

this is my object of devotion! really enjoy the car, take extremely good care or her and she is my favorite color (navy blue metallic ) Getting ready to put silver rally stripes on and think that will truly make it mine. Love the mileage I can get 20.5 around town, have actually seen 26 on the highway trips and not being babied at all. There is always something I find that I would like to buy for it, and sometimes I do! Really like the clean beauty of the C5! and so do may people who see it.
