they seemed to have gotten it right

I have owned five corvettes. Chevy has seemd to have upgraded every thing that was wrong eith the previous models. The styling is great. The car drives "smaller" than previous models. I wish they'd upgrade the materials in the cockpit and perhaps charge afew bucks more. It's still kind of cheap looking inside. Still, it is a supercar for the money and is really a big bang for the buck. I've had mine for five years now and it's only been in the shop for routine maintenance. Be prepared to buy a set of tires every 15k if you have the z51 option.

One Word: Unbelievable.

This cars blows me away. I say that with all honesty, because everytime I get in this car I feel like im sitting in a supercar. Not only that, it's a feeling that is affordable: 55K-60K dollars isn't a lot for what you get. Exterior: It's a 'Vette. You know what it looks like. The main difference is the now set-back headlights which I believe are long over due. The car is highly sleek looking, you can't look at this car without thinking "performance." Interior: This is where I have a few complaints, but first the good stuff. Heads-up display is genius. Once you have this, you'll never want to drive something without it. The car has plenty of gadgets to keep you entertained. G-Force meter? Yep. Tire Pressure monitor? You bet. Personalized name on screen when you enter? Oh yeah. Push button and keyless entry? Sure. It goes on and on. Navigation also works extremely well. For a sports car, there is a lot of leg room and cargo space. My only complaints are the lack of accents on the interior. WAY too much rubber was used without enough alluminum accents, or chrome, etc. Also, the Bose sound system is solid, but nothing spectacular. Premium sound should sound, well, premium. It doesn't, it sounds average. Under The Hood: Are you kidding? This is a Corvette! If you expect one thing from this car, it should be to step on the gas and be exhilerated, and you are. The 400HP engine will have you hot-footing it at every stop light. For the price, this car is a superior performer. And with a few cheap modifications, you can get even better acceleration. So, what are you waiting for? Drain your savings account and buy this baby! You wont be dissapointed with this car. It's just not possible.

18 months of ownership

After owning this car for over a year, I think it's still a great car. Everybody is happy at first, but the ownership of a Corvette feels better the longer I have it. The gas mileage is the biggest surprise. I average 25 MPG. It is capable of incredible handeling, I feel very safe and it has a surprising quiet and very comfortable ride. I test drove the German and Japanese competition, and thsi was clearly superior in my opinion even if I had spent nearly twice as much. All this and an Icon too. The forum website is an added piece of enjoyment. Corvette owners are a unique group, not at all What I thought. Buy one, your worth it!
