Very Satisfied Equinox Owner
I purchase my 2006 Equinox new in July and have had no problems to date. Love the interior configuration and dash layout / two-tone color theme. The back seat legroom is fantastic. Exterior styling is sharp - I ordered Sandstone Metallic with the tan interior and get lost of compliments on it. Radio is a bit fussy but it looks like they've changed that for 2007. The ride seems harsh and the turning radius is HUGE - making it a bit tricky getting into my rather tight underground parking garage spot. Overall though - very happy with my decision to purchase the Equionix over the VUE.

LOVE IT!
The first time I saw the commercial - I knew I had to see it. It was a few months later when we decided to buy new for the first time and I couldn't wait to go see an Equinox in person. Once there - oh what a beauty! The dealer showed me a few colours before I fell in love with the Salsa Red. The AWD drive option fell under the way side when he explained to me you don't really need the AWD because of the traction control on the FWD. We drove around for a few miles then I'd seen enough. We purchased a 2006 Equinox LT - Salsa Red with a light brown (pardon me for forgetting the name) interior. I will say the only thing I would NOT recommend is this interior colour. I am a very clean person and even I can't keep the seats clean. It's FWD with 17" alloy wheels. The motor responds like a jet on take off, and the tranny keeps up to it. Give her a punch and she'll lay your head back for a split second. Let me end by saying I have already recommended the Equinox to everyone that might even be considering buying a new vehicle. I LOVE it! Cheers to you!

Not a reliable vehicle
I actually purchased a 2005 Equinox brand new in 2005 - in the 1 1/2 years I owned it - it was in the shop 18 times. I just (Oct 06) traded it in for a new Trailblazer. Though the Equinox had plenty of room - it wasn't dependable and it was always in the shop. I think Chevy needs to do more work with them before releasing any more.

Best laid out interior folr Tall people
Never thought I would go domestic, however since my test drive I have changend my mind. I purchased the Equinox AWD six months ago and have been delighted everyday. The vehicle is extremly roomy and cormfortable. I am 6'5 and my partner has had major back surgey so leg room and comfort are our number one concerns. We are also pleased with Chevys interior lay out. This is the first vehicle to put all controls for locks and windows in the center so the front seat passenger can help the driver with backseat children.

Most Trouble Car I've owned
I just bought this car in May 06 and have had nothing but trouble out of it. I have had it in the shop 4 times already. The car misses everyday on a cold start which GM only tells me that is the normal characteristics of the Equinox. LOL I love the way the outside looks and the way it drives but the inside is cheap looking.

Very sorry I purchased.......
I went from an Isuzu Trooper to a Chevy Equinox in hopes of better mileage. The car has had so many small problems its just been too annoying. I miss my bigger more dependable car! The inside is roomy and comfortable. But lots of little problems. spent WAY too much time back in the shop.

Buy something with some class instead
Just like all current Chevy models, you only need a short time for one word to come to mind - cheap. Everything in the vehicle is cheap, from the manufacturing of the dashbord and door materials to even the exterior "styling." It's no wonder that Chevy and the other American manufacturers have recently had to almost give their vehicles away - they are being out designed and out styled by more imaginative, better quality manufacturers - mostly foreign.

New Equinox Owner
I just purchased this vehicle last week and so far so good. I like the exterior look and I get plenty of compliments. I like the interior except the interior design of the doors, yuck, for lack of a better word, and the seat backs could use a little more in the lumbar area. My husband likes the vehicle and that in itself is amazing!
