Great MPG , love that its midsized

Easy to drive, not too high, feels more like a car than a truck. Great awd for the snow and bad weather, lots of room in the hatchback.

Most Reliable

I am married and in process of purchasing a 2006 Chevrolet Equinox and the vehicle has more space than the Malibu and both are comfortable in riding and good on gas mileage

Run away from this vehicle

This vehicle has been a real problem. Several times over the years I have had to rent a car while this car was being fixed. bearings 7 times.front struts twice, erg valve.transmission lines.complete fuse panel. keys stuck in ignition. front brakes every year. I really got a lemon with this purchase.

Very Roomy

Love the ride on trips. Great acceleration and handling. Incredibly versatile car that has a great towing capacity and with its towing package. Very little maintenance needed. It's sets high enough to see well in traffic. It has lots of room in the front seat, the back seat plus it can hold a lot of cargo. Great in the rain with the AWD. It is very economical.

Daily Driver - 180k miles - original owner

Bought with $8k miles in 2007, now 2019 with $180k miles. Only real problems in past year or so. Had to get front struts and such redone (which is not unusual); never had the heater problems but the electric fan DID go out for a $1k repair. Regular fluid changes so no real problems under general maintenance, but probably will start spending a little more money here and there over the next few years. Interior room is PERFECT. I'm 6'3" and no problems. Has some lessons I wish other companies would learn (like rear seats folding down flat).
