Glad I have it but its time for something else
I've had this car for 3 years and have sunk a ton of cash into it. It only had 77,xxx miles on it. After rebuilding the transmission the car never really got better. Maybe the owner before me didn't drive it the way I do. I don't know, but it was a good first car and learning experience.

Great car!
Great car overall. I have had very few issues with it, even living in NE Ohio. Winters are brutal here, but the car never let me down!

Sleeper Car
This is my second impala I also have an 2000 base with 3.4L and I absolutely love the car, my first one is quick and rides solid having minor problems with over heating probably thermostat or fan relay whatever it is its inexpensive, I'm giving this one to my son and I already miss it I love that dark burgundy color and its quicker than the 2004 base impala I bought the 2000 it had 175,000 when I bought it and has 187,000 now, the 2004 has 136,945 and its gold in color and it is just a heck of a car when my car is clean and the gel is on the tires I don't feel inferior to anything that pulls up next to me good job GM.

Been geat car
I purchased this car used about 3 years ago with 134 k on it and now has over 153 k. It has been a very reliable car during this time with regular maintenance. Very comfortable and quiet on the road with lots of room. Car used in lawn maintenance work to haul utility trailer which it does a good job. even with the 3.4 engine. Great gas mileage on the road without the trailer. I would recommend this car to anyone, just that this car model year is getting older. .Plan to keep this one for a while yet. Really like the car.

Olds Guy loves this Chevy
We bought this as a second car for the family a few years back and have loved it the whole time. Bought with 55k on it, and have built it up to 84k with no major issues until a rather serious accident last year. Was told most other cars would have been totaled, but thanks to the wide availability of the parts was able to be fixed through insurance. Can't even tell it was in an accident, was fixed wonderfully. Even as a base model, there are all the necessities without uneeded extras. the 3.4L V6 gets through tough New England winters no problem, tackles hill on 2nd or 1st gear, and never slides. Roomy seat for the kids, front bench to seat up to 6 in a pinch, and a large trunk for luggage. Only minor complaints are dim headlights (even on high beams seem lower than most cars low beams), and no trunk light for nighttime. Other than that, HIGHLY recommended car for a family that doesn't quite need an SUV or minivan.

Worst car ever purchased
I bought this as my first car and have had nothing but problems. It was bought in 2011 and has be in the shop 10+ times. It had 90k and had to get a new transmission, head gasket, therostat and the gas gauge no longer works. It has been the worst car I've ever seen. Would not recommend it to any one.
