Very reliable

After 260000 miles still gets me where I need to go. Very little mainetence has been done, nothing major just regular mainetence. It's to the point of how many miles will it last to.

Just recently purchased with 103K miles

I like the ride and how it drives. It has a huge trunk and the engine has decent power. I like the simplicity of the controls. It doesn't have a bunch of un-needed electronic crap inside.

Very Reliable Car.

Very comfortable riding car. I own a newer Impala as well. So having two cars that are very similar but different colors shows that I feel the Chevy Impala's are great cars.

It’s a Chevy; what do you expect?

Let me say. People who want to say how reliable this car is haven’t got the problems yet. I had the car for a month and it overheated on me. Ended up the water pump went out on me while I was driving. Decided to fix that. Then the engine started acting up. Mechanic didn’t know what the problem was so they had to take the engine apart. Apparently oil clogged the engine and some sensors up. And then the rainmaker came in...not even 6 months after I bought the car, the transmission goes out. Dumped more money into the car than what it was worth. I bought it because it was available and I needed a car. But I should’ve looked around more. Won’t buy another GM product again.

Do not buy an impala...!!!!

Starting with the good, in 3 months its never left me stranded... Now the bad, oil pressure switch, ac clutch coil, fuel sending unit, remote entry only unlocks drivers door from 3 feet away... Remote range is not much better than just using the key... So remote start works only if I'm already in range of touching the car, oil leaks badly... From all over(oil filter adapter, transmission cooler lines/fittings, transmission pan gasket, front crank seal, rear main seal, power steering return line blew...) Bad ac heater mix doors x2, bad ac recirculate door motor(that ones a nightmare to get to) Bad water pump/gasket leaks coolant... This car only has 115k miles on it. Everytime I drive it there is 2 more things that stop working. My 05 focus got hit by a plow and totaled. Got this car 5 months ago... I should have got another focus it had twice the miles and everything still worked.

Best Car I've Owned

This car was in great shape for it's year. It continues to run very well and I look forward to having it around for a long time.

Excellently reliable and absolutely beautiful

I think this car has been for the most part underrated and undervalued. It is without doubt one of the best cars ever produced. I bought it used (2006 Chevy Impala LS )in 2010 with 120,000 km. It drove like new and remained so until I sent it to Africa in 2016. The only major repair I made was replacing the fuel pump. Like I said earlier, it drove well, safe ,handles well and unquestionably reliable. Very negligeable body roll and wind noise experienced. On few occasions, I had low oil pressure message but did not affect the performance of the vehicle. It was for its reliability that I decided to buy my present truck- 2018 Chevy silverado

A True Tank

I just recently purchased a 2006 LS fleet model from (of all places) a salvage yard. No mechanical problems, clear title, no damage.......just trashed on the inside. In the month I've had it I've put almost 4000 miles on it with ease and no issue. I've been wanting one of these for a while and scored this one cheap. I replaced the interior with a complete one from a low mileaged 2013 that was rear ended, new battery, VVT sensor, headlights from the same 2013 and taillights from a 2010 (those parts had excessive wear and I'm very finicky about my cars). I'm impressed with the fuel economy (it has the 3.5L) and the performance (as fast as my old 2004 Grand Prix GT2). While there's still a few repairs needed, I would trust it to go to California and back with no problem. So far a solid performer. I got it with 155k and it's about to crack 160k. Definitely a ride and drive car. I'm thinking of getting one for my stepson as his first car........so to anyone who wants a solid family car, second car, commuter.......whatever, snag an Impala.
