This Car is Hungry for Tires

I owned a 2008 Chevy Impala SS. I thought it was the best car I ever owned, until I had to purchase new tires every year for the car at $900.00. I am not a careless or fast driver, so if you like sports cars you better have the money to buy new tires every year. Oh yeah and make sure you are careful when purchasing new good year eagle GT tires because I found out the hard way that there is no warranty on these tires, most likely because they wear out so fast. One more thing, It was a gas hog. I now own a Chevy Cruze and am very happy with it.

Overlooked American Car Quality

I Leased this 2008 Impala LT new in November of 2007 (my first new car from the showroom floor) I now have 51000 and have since purchased the car and I still Love it! Regular oil changes are the only thing I've had to do to it. The car at 51000 miles is still "tight" and rattle free. I've taken long road trips and achieved up to 33 miles to the gallon and that was even through some mountain ranges and I average about 26 in my general driving. I've used both Ethanol and Gas and besides the loss of fuel milage with ethanol it runs perfect on both. I have always been a "buy American" person but the quality of this car has me convinced that there has never been a better time to buy GM car! The Quality is perfect. For a negative, the only one thing I had an issue with was the Goodyear Integrity tires that came on the car were wore to fast on the sides even with proper tire rotation. I put new Michelin tires on at about 40000 and the car is riding great. I work with 4 people and know several others that bought Impala's in 2008 & 2009 and they all still have them and have had the same experience that I have. I'm shopping to add a GM crossover for our family and replacing the Dodge Mini-van. Cars.com has good reviews on them as well! Thanks GM for stepping up your "Fit & Finnish" and producing great quality cars!

Quality

Chevy finally addressed a number of issues facing previous year Impalas including poor engineering of the coolant system and frequent seal ruptures. The '08 provides a very smooth and comfortable ride at an affordable price.

Love Our First Chevrolet

Very comfortable and quiet ride. Very reliable. This is mainly driven by my wife. I don't think she would ever give her car up!

Great driving car

Got this car as a HS graduation present, currently using it to at college 450 miles away from home, it is an absolute dream. Cruises so nicely on the highway, gets to 60 with ease, extremely spacious, and is decent on gas! Interior can seem a tad boring; exterior isn't much but it is classy nonetheless! I look forward to keeping this car for awhile now.

Traded in my 2001 Chevy Impala with 337,000 miles for a used 2008 LT . I commute 120 miles a day from country roads , Hwys to urban areas in all kinds of weather.I love the comfort, room, ride quality , saftey and good gas milage . Looking forward to some long trips with ths car. Import drivers comment on the nice interor . Been driving in the latest snow storms here in the northest and feel very confident with the cars handling. Had good luck with my last car , did have to bring it to the shop some time but had no major problems .

Excellent Value

My wife has put 91,000 miles on her 2008 LS without any issues. She rates it as her favorite car of all-time. While its her car, I have driven it on long trips in snow and rain. It handles great in all conditions and averages 30 MPG on the highway at 75 MPH. The V6 engine accelerates smoothly and quietly.

Excellent automobile

I received this car as a graduation present from high school, and I absolutely love it. Not the flashiest thing out there, but it is classy and you truly own the road when driving. I go to college down south and drive home to NJ for breaks.. could not have asked for a better highway car!! Excellent pick up and oh-so smooth. Also so spacious all around!!! I look forward to keeping this car for a very long time. Oh.. did I mention it's great on gas!?!?
