One of the better cars I've owned
Very good riding car and I love the styling and all of the features the model has. Cars costing significantly more than the Impala-LTZ does not have the options this auto has.

Not as reliable as I expected
My main concern is that I have had several problems with the ENGINE on this vehicle since I purchased it. I have been beyond frustrated with this vehicle. While the work that has been done mostly under warranty from GM or the extended warranty that I purchased with, with the exception of the last time I had it in the dealership and had to pay $461.00 to replace the intake rocker arm solenoid valve, my expectations on reliability are extremely less than I anticipated. I have been a GM customer for several years, but am considering no longer being a loyal customer. It raises huge concerns with me for the engine issues. If you see below, where I have listed the several issues on the vehicle, most of them have to do with the internal parts on the engine. Now with the Stabilitrak, Engine, and ABS lights being on, I had my neighbor hook up his diagnostic system to my car, what he found were codes that were P-0013 and P-0014, which have to do with the camshaft position sensor, which was just replaced back on 8-30-16. I will still be bringing my car to the dealership to have them diagnose it properly. I just wanted to point out that the following things are issues that I have had with the vehicle since I purchased it in January 2015: 2-26-15: The steering wheel was sticking 4-20-15: The code PO55B indicating the intake CMP oil actuator oil pressure performance. Found that actual oil pressure sensor was defective, and was replaced. 10-20-15: Transmission was hesitating, and not downshifting, as well as the steering wheel sticking again. Code PI1198 was showing. Found that the ECM/TCM claim code was on, and was updated, nothing found for steering wheel issues 3-4-16: Stabilitrack and ABS light on, steering wheel sticking again. codes were U0422, U0415, C0045. Left rear wheel bearing hub/assembly needed to be replaced. And a bulletin was discovered that there was an issue with steering wheel, steering wheel was repaired at this time. 8-11-16: Disovered that valve cover was leaking oil, internal gasket failure. Replaced Gasket, right wheel bearing, tire pressure warning system, reprogrammed radio screen, and found split seal from TCM Valve to valve body, replaced TCM Valve Body and all needed Gaskets. 8-30-16: Round intermittent failure at intake cam actuator, replaced camshaft position sensor. 10-18-16: Throttle-body was replaced, at this time the mechanic stated that the throttle body part numbers had been changed 5 different times since I purchased my vehicle. On this trip to the service department, there was a GM rep that came to look at my car, and basically told the technicians that I didn't know how to drive my car. I have been driving for 21 years, and have not had any issues with not knowing how to drive a vehicle. 4-17-17: Intake Rocker Arm solenoid valve issue, 2 were stuck off. Checked intake rocker arm solenoid valve, screen was damaged and clogged, replaced solenoid valve. This is where I had to pay $461.00 out of pocket, because my warranty was up, as well as the extended warranty I purchased, due to the miles on my vehicle (which were only 110,000) And now the issue is happening with my engine light, stabilitrack and ABS lights being on, again. When the issue occurred, I was travelling 65 miles an hour on a highway in the left lane, the stabilitrack light came on, and the screen on my dash indicated that engine power would be reduced. My car immediately reduced speed, so much so, that the vehicle behind me had to slam on their brakes to avoid from rear ending my vehicle, I had to pull my vehicle over to the right shoulder, maneuvering through traffic, to get my vehicle to safety. I was able to slowly get my car back home, which was a 40 mile drive, and took quite a while to get there.

Most exciting family car
This vehicle is amazing. I owned a lt2 loaded only missing a few cosmetic options. 305 h.p. v6 is really impressive I actually ran her pretty good and had some fun with other driving enthusiasts. I put this car up against v6 and v8 cars turbo or not and was never let down if I couldn't beat it I would at least keep up, most impressive I beat a Porsche one day I couldn't believe it! Bose 9 speaker sound was amazing. Double moon roof was enjoyable. Comfort was perfect. New interior/exterior design created an edge that always caught attention and turned heads. If your a looking for a practical, roomy, fun, powerfull and affordable car this is it.
