Worth every penny

I bought my 2002 Trailblazer LS new and have almost 250000 miles and it's still going. No major issues just typical wear and replacements, brakes, rotors, belts, tires. No engine or transmission problems. The only thing I wish Chevy did was redesign the interior console where the shifter and cup holders are to make it more roomy like my Silverado. Overall, it's a great vechicle.

Best Vehicle I've Owned

Bought our 2002 LS new in 2001. We mainly use it for pulling a pop-up camper on vacation and sundry in-town driving. 10.5 years later, it's still going strong. Very few maintenance issues. Pulls a 3500 lb. pop-up like a champ. Typical vacation is 3000 miles; goes through the mountains like on flat ground. Very comfortable ride, and plenty of power for any kind of driving. Interior is roomy with ample cargo space. We've had a few interior issues, but no deal breakers (an out-of-whack sun visor; headrest cover that isn't secured well; and the liftgate pull has broken several times). Sorry that the T-Blazer is out of production. Would consider a new one in a few years if they still made it. But our still has a lot of mileage in it.

Very comfortable & sporty SUV

This is a very comfortable SUV. It rides and handles well. I have owned one for 6 years. It's also very sporty and the perfect size SUV. It's not too big or too small. Good on gas.

5 stars

I am sorry to see the couple negative reviews. I boutght mine off showroom floor in 2002 and now 83K miles. Only issue is the wiper blades pulse when light mist. True everything must go through GM to be replaced included all coolants (Dex) but outstanding vehicle. Would not trade it for any new models as it has at least 200K available to it if you maintain correctly. PS---only changed brakes once may be with way I drive. I respect the auto and drive it as such. Also was forced off interstate at 80 mph and recovered "extremely" quick and well. Must be that Corvette frame! Me and my LTZ!

great vehicle

I have gone 98000 miles on the original factory tires and brakes and they still are in good condition. This is the most reiiable and lowest maintenance vehicle I have ever owned.

MOST RELIABLE CAR I'VE OWNED

I bought a 2002 Trailblazer with 75,000 miles on it and put an additional 100,000 miles on it. It always ran perfectly. I only needed to do general maintenance(tires, brakes, etc) The LTZ had a lot of nice options and I was quickly spoiled with leather heated seats, rain sense wipers, all sorts of buttons and controls on the steering wheel, a fantastic sound system and more. It handled extremely well in the snow, dirt roads, slippery conditions, etc. I did add nicer tires than the originals. More importantly I was involved in a huge crash this week and this car quite possibly saved my life. I went head on into a large cement guardrail at about 50 miles an hour. I only suffered a sprained ankle and a bruised knee. I would definitely recommend this vehicle. It was extremely dependable for me in every way. It always started, even in the -20 mornings and I never even replaced the battery, never flushed any of the fluids...just oil changes. A+ to the Trailblazer.

Very Good

The biggest problem I have found is that when I do have to have something fixed on this car, all, or most of the engine parts are "Dealer Parts", which of course means they have to be ordered instead of picking them up at a parts store. One piece of advice... if you have to replace the alternator, plan to have it ground to fit. The one sold by both dealer and parts store, even though it is said to be the replacement part, must be ground to fit anyway.
