It saved my life

I bought the 2018 Traverse High Country within weeks of its release, and I loved it! It’s our family car - I have a Mercedes convertible for pleasure, but found myself driving the Traverse over the Mercedes for its comfort. My whole family loved it, and my colleagues were always impressed by it - not expecting it to be so nice for a Chevy (compared to a Luxury brand). A week ago, an oncoming car came across the center line in a 55mph zone and hit us head-on. I blacked out for a few moments on impact, but the car’s safety features performed wonderfully. All of the airbags deployed before we came to a rest at the opposite guardrail. I have a concussion (I was driver), but my husband and two little boys have only sore chests from the seatbelt. The car that hit us split in two and the driver had to be extracted using jaws of life. The Traverse was a total loss, but we are all okay. I loved that Traverse so much that I bought the exact same one as a 2019 just today to replace it, even after doing all of the research AGAIN. I considered it against much more expensive models like the Tesla Model X, the Mercedes, the Volvo, and others. At the end of the day, for the space and the tech features, I found the $55K price tag to be a bargain compared to the luxury brands. I love this car.

Nice to drive, has a good amount of power.

Great suv, too soon to say something about dependability, it has only 2,900 miles, I wish the interior was a little better, expecially the plastic, it too easy to scratch

I don't like the Auto Stop function

If I could return this car, I would, but I cannot. I do not like the AutoStop function and there is no way to turn it off on the Traverse. My engine fan or blade has scraped a few times because of this. I can see an engine failure in the far future from the starting and stopping all the time.

Best car I have owned

The traverse has met all our needs so far. Fits excellent with our family needs. Plenty of room and very happy with the design of the vehicle overall.

Pretty good vehicle

Satisfied with almost everything with a couple of exceptions. First, there is a humming noise that increases/decreases depending on your speed. Must be coming from the drive train. Dealer mechanic says it?s normal operating noise but I?ve never had a vehicle make this noise before. Also, heater fan is exceptionally load at high speed.

Love my new car

I put off buying a car because I couldn't find anything I liked well enough to have a car payment again. I'm generally a Ford gal, but the hubby is a Chevy guy. I fell in love with this car immediately and knew it was for me.

I love it so far

We were searching for best in class interior space, as I haul a lot for my business, but also wanted room for the kids. Of all the SUV's we looked at, this one, by far, was easiest to get into 3rd row. 2nd row is very roomy and we have really long legs. We opted for function over luxury and did without bells and whistles. Even so, it feels more luxurious than our 2011 Journey that had all the bells.
