Awesome Electric Car without Range Anxiety!

I loved driving this car for the last 5 years. Its incredibly comfortable, quick to accelerate (Sport Mode 👍 Awesome) and if you drive less than 32 miles a day it's practically free to drive! It's all-electric all the time, however, the gas engine acts as a generator to give you virtually unlimited range as long as you can find a gas station or electric charge at home. The 8 year Voltec, 100k mile warranty has been great. I gave it 4 stars as I did replace the transmission under warranty last year. Also has upgraded leather seats, new tires, extra 240 volt charger and bike rack. I'd keep the car, however, I'm buying a new home and need proceeds for that.

Brilliant engineering

I love this car and the only reason to change would be to go all electric next time. Very comfortable, quiet and extremely inexpensive to own.

Extremely reliable

Great vehicle but not your ordinary run of the mill car. It takes some getting used to, but when you learn the operational variables it becomes a great car.

Best Value Out There!

The Volt has been the best, most reliable, and cheapest to own car I've ever had, out of at least 6 previous daily-drivers. Over three years, most of my driving has been electric only, at half the cost per-mile of using gasoline, and has been flawless on long, several-hundred mile road trips. It handles great too! With the way prices are so low on these, and how rock-solid the battery and drivetrain is, this is the BEST deal in the used market currently!

Best car I've ever owned

Flawless, no issues, love the way it drives, would never own another gas car again. Well built, highest owner satisfaction, no battery degradation, smooth power and control.

Great car. Low maintenance. Reliable and quick.

We have owned a 2013 Chevy Volt for 3 years and a 2012 Volt for 5 years. They have both been excellent cars. It was a bit of an adjustment to move from a truck to a small car, but we love it! Fuel cost savings more than paid for the car. They are quick, quiet, reliable, comfortable (small back seat though). Battery range is realistically 27-35 miles depending on season, but 300+ miles total range with gas powered generator. The engine creates electrical charge for the batteries, it does not propel the car. The electric motors do. Super smooth. No clunky transmission. We are totally sold on electric cars. Now, waiting for a electric pick up truck ...

Love my Volt!

I love my plug in Volt. I'm not ready to go total electric because rapid recharge isn't readily available. So having the back up gas engine is a must. Love the hatchback for hauling. I run between 120mpg and 160mpg. Also oil changes depend on the gas engine miles so maintenance costs are low. My gas savings changing from an SUV to my Volt paid for the car payment. The electronic features and safety features are great. The Volt is super easy to drive. I am so sad to hear that the Volt will no longer be produced.

Lawn mower burns more gas.

If you drive under 35 miles a day this is a great car for you. I've burned under a gallon of gas in a month. It gets 3 to 4 miles per Kwh. The battery "tank" has power for 10 Kwh. The true gas mileage looks to be around 37mpg.

Love my Volt

I am so sad that the volt will no longer be made. I love my car. It has amazing gas mileage. I run between 120 and 140 miles per gallon. One of my favorite features is the hatchback because I can lay down the back seats and haul more than my husband's Jeep or my former SUV. And of course I love the gas mileage. The seats are comfortable and easy to adjust. The back seat is very small but I only use it to put a baby seat. I like the style of the exterior. And it has unbelievable pick up. I like the backup camera and the lane assist warning system. The volt is very easy to drive and it is a great commuter car and around town car.

An electric vehicle for some, a hybrid for others.

This vehicle is quite reliable. In the 2.5 years / 50k miles of ownership I brought it in for repair only once. It was only a heating issue. If you get groceries, go to work, etc., this vehicle will run fully electric. Don’t be afraid of road trips, this car comes equipped with a highly efficient backup engine that boasts 45 MPG.
