2018 Chevrolet Volt consumer reviews

Owned my Volt for a month or so. Love the quiet ride and handling and that wonderfully torque that makes this car very fun to drive. It is surprisingly quick and nimble. I love not putting any gas in it and of course taking the HOV lanes!

I research many cars that were electric. I have owned two Prius in the past. I bought the Volt only because of the power train technology and the tax credit. If the power train technology was not so unique or did not exist, then i would not purchase this car. I would not recommend for the following reasons: 1.) NO SPARE TIRE. 2.) EXTREMELY LARGE BLIND SPOT. LARGE ENOUGH TO HIDE A SUV. 3.) SUB-STANDARD ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM COMPARED TO COMPARABLE COMPETITOR MODEL CARS. 4.)SUB-STANDARD ELECTRONIC CONVENIENCES COMPARED TO OTHER CARS IN PRICE POINT. 5.) LARGE DEPRECIATION OF VALUE WITHIN FIRST YEAR. 6.) POOR REGENERATIVE FUNCTIONALITY 7.) NO SUN ROOF OPTION 8.) POOR TURNING RADIUS 9.) SUB-STANDARD CLIMATE CONTROL. 10.) OUT DATED WINDSHIELD WIPER CONTROLS. 11.) NO BACK SEAT ROOM. ONLY SEATS TWO IF KIDS. 12.) NO CARGO COVER 13.) DRIVER SEAT IS MANUAL AND DOES NOT RAISE HIGH ENOUGH FOR SHORT PEOPLE. 14.) FOB KEY FOR THE KEY-LESS ENTRY SYSTEM IS HUGE. THEREFORE, DIFFICULT TO HAVE ON KEY RING.

The volt has great styling inside and out and it saves me from going to the gas station every week as my daily commute is all electric miles.

The car is an amazing piece of engineering with electric drive and a seamless transition to a ga powered engine when needed. It is fast, quiet and comfortable. The infotainment system is excellent as are the other controls. It all just works great!

Car had been great so far performance is as expected. I love not buying gas for weeks at a time. Exterior looks so much better than the new Prius

It's like going into a spacecraft I love it.The volt is one of the best electric cars.I would recommend it to anyone. I haven't even had to put gas in it yet after two weeks.

The bolts is gorgeous, sporty, all the latest tech, super energy efficient, good for the environment, great colors, amazing driving experience. How can you go wrong with this incredible vehicle? The price is right for everything you get!

Only a few things to improve... there should be home link and power seats standard on all models. Also the regen button on the steering wheel should have a more linear/smooth deceleration as I will at times surprise me at how hard it brakes. Perhaps a variable button that brakes faster as you press harder on the button. Even a 2 stage button would suffice.

This is an excellent reliable vehicle that has not given me any issues during ownership. It blends into all vehicles within the same segment and still remains the best plugin hybrid with an all electric mode even with spirited driving.

Good handling. Very responsive. A perfect car for local shopping. In 300 miles of driving, I have used only 2 gallons of gasoline just to make sure the gas engine was working.
