Great Car

I've had this Touring sedan for over a year and think it's great. Good: -I commute a good distance, so the mileage is good (30 mpg on avg). -The Boston sound system is awesome and the handling is like a go cart. -I really like the tan leather seats -Plenty of room in the back seats -Good trunk space for the golf clubs -Very easy to get to the oil filter -Nice exterior, body feels very solid -Overall length is ideal for city driving -Get lots of compliments for the interior and exterior appearance Bad: -I wish there was more storage for personal items (sunglasses, iPod, cell, etc.) -Not a big fan of the interior trim..e.g.,dash, door, etc. Kind of cheap looking to me and it's heard to clean between the "ridges." -Only mechanical issue has been the engine's downshifting. It "surges" as I try to decelerate. I took it to the dealer while under warranty, but they couldn't fix it. Overall, I greatly enjoy this car. The only reason I'm looking to trade it in is to get something with AWD since I'm moving to a city where it snows. Otherwise, I'd definitely keep it (as well as my Chrysler Pacifica, which I also enjoy).

Worst Car I've Ever Bought

I bought my 2008 Sebring Convertible in Feb 09 with 20,000 miles on it, two weeks later, 4 of the 6 weatherstrips popped off as I lowered the top with the dash switch (the button on the key to lower the top has yet to work). The worst part about it is that I can't get it fixed. The dealership says it's not a warranty issue even though there's a 3-year/36,000 mile warranty! This is on top of the engine light coming on and going off randomly, a repair to the driver's seat, passenger's seat belt, and the passenger's side tail light that seems to attract and trap bees in it. I can't wait to trade it in for anything else this weekend. To be a V-6, it has no "get-up-and-go". It looks very cool and sporty but beyond that, it has nothing else to offer. :(

Pretty on the outside disappointing otherwise

I bought the 2008 Sebring Touring in May of 2008 and have 11000. miles on it. It has absolutely no power I hate going up a hill becsuse it seems like its not going to make it half the time and Im sure the people behind me are laughing. a few times I have parked it and it wont go into gear at all you have to mess with it for a few minutes to get it to go into gear I don't know what that is all about. also I can hear this clanging noise when I do accelerate in it like the valves are not right in it. It did this when I very first bought it. I regret not taking it back I should have. Now Im stuck with it. I would avoid this car.

Worst car i have ever owned

I bought this car new. The same day i drove it off the lot i went out of town assuming everything worked because its new... The windsheild wipers didnt work. Took it in the shop and not only did the windsheild wiper motor need replaced so did the entire fuse box to the car. The computer in the car has been reprogramed numerous times. The car shuts off randomly while driving it. This car has been in the shop two- three times a month. After sitting at a stop light then accelerating it acts like it wants to shut off. I am not happy with this car at all. I have had it a year and getting rid of it as soon as possible.

Excellent Value

The Sebring Touring offers excellent value. Facts: 4dr sedan, 2.4L World Engine, Auto Trans, Purchased Jan 08, 20K miles, driven in California and Nevada mountain and freeway driving. The things that are not appealing: 1. The rear seat leg room is deficient, my '93 Dodge Spirit (purchased new 181k miles) has more rear seat leg room; 2. Side view mirrors are fixed not retractable making them susceptible to breaking in tight spots. 3. Chrome appointments in the interior are distracting - I've placed a ball cap in the shift selector to cut glare. Other reviewers are critical of front seat geometry, turn signal stalk, and 4-cly performance are not a factor in my evaluation. The body is not particularly appealing - I purchased the car for transportation not for looks. Favorable features are: 1. 3 air bag systems: 2. excellent gas mileage 17 the lowest recorded, 38 mpg the highest highway, typically 25 in town; 3. Satisfactory power 4.Very good handling on mountain curves; 5. Good visibility; 6. Very satisfactory engine compartment design - lots of room to work on this car to change oil or get at accessories; 7. Timing chain rather than a belt. 8. Pax front seat folds forward making it a nice work space. Quality has largely been satisfactory. Two services issues: 1st, a door window regulator was defective and had to be replaced. 2nd, rear seal on front axle was leaking oil at about 15k miles. Both items under warranty and repaired promptly by dealer. The last most appealing sales feature of the car is the Chrysler lifetime power train warranty. Hopefully Chrysler will be around so I'll be able to get a new engine in 10 to 15 years.

Hmmmmmm

I got this car almost exactly one year ago, I find it is comfortable to drive the seats are easy to adjust if needed when switching drivers. It handles great. I love the exterior and the Interior(though for the first month i didnt really care for the back inside paneling though i was then pointed out that both the back doors had different paneling and thankfully the one i didnt care for was the one that got replaced to the right one, even in the draw up of the car it showed that it was the same panel haha) the features are good, though some days i would love it if it had heated seats haha. i find its a good value, i didnt buy this car but i am leasing it, even though i will probably not keep it after the lease is done its a good car except for ..... my power steering going twice, two different hoses where involved and presented completly different symptoms my break switch broke (which i have no clue what it is) which caused me to have trouble getting it out of park unless you wiggled it for a minute or two oh and one feature i dont like is the fact that if u press and hold down my unlock button on my remote it causes my front windows to come down on a second note i have had my side window smashed and my windsheild cracked from the inside by someone throwing a rock into my car, i have had my window replaced but i have also had to bring it back twice so far to get leaks fixed with it and its a reliable place to go, they have had trouble with other sebrings besides mine... anyways love the car either way i would recommend this car to someone but maybe try used that way alot of the kinks are gone.

Great Looking Car

I bought the car from a Chrysler dealer used (6 months young) with 11,000 miles; it was a Christmas present for my wife; she absolutely loves it; the styling with the hard top is very nice.... had a few minor issues (vehicle was a former rental) which were all handled 100% by the warranty; I also purchased the 8 year / 80,000 certified used; would highly reommend this car; but I would recommend purchasing a slightly used as I did as the price was incredible compared to $34k for a new Touring w. hard top; can hardly wait for warmer weather....

Pleasant Sebring

I have a Sebring Touring with stability control, Sirrius hard drive radio (MyGig), bluetooth, power seat and the four cylinder engine. Used as a carpool vehicle it is averaging 30mpg in mixed suburban and highway driving. My carpoolers all have commented on the roomy rear seat (I compared with all competitors before buying). The driving position is fairly high, with good visibility and a pleasant, airy cabin. The car handles quite well. (My 18 year old son calls it a go-kart, I would call it big on the inside but small outside for maneuverability.) I had my doubts about acceleration (my other vehicle is a V6 Magnum), but the Sebring gets up to freeway speed and accelerated well at highway speeds. The car has had no service or reliability issues so far. What would I change? The standard Bridgestone tires are only OK. I would prefer Michelin or Goodyear touring tires. The carpet is light colored and would be better darker (which I think is the case in 2009 Sebrings).

Cute, Girly Car!

I'm 17, & my mom bought me this car this summer. It's absolutely perfect for a teen girl, because it's an adorable, sleek looking car! The exterior is so cute! I have a 2008 Touring model, & the interior is very basic. Nothing impressive. I have the MyGig radio, & mine stopped working sometimes so I had to get a new one. Other than that problem, it's an amazing radio! I love how I can display a picture on it. The radio also has GREAT sound & bass. Loves it! The 4-cyl engine is really loud & so weak! The acceleration is pretty bad, but once you start going it's okay. If you're looking for a chic car to look hot in, go for a Chrysler Sebring!
