To much money to be in the repair shop!

I bought a 2008 sebring sedan about 3 months ago and it has already been in the repair shop twice. The car had 17,000 miles on it and as we drove it off the lot we realized the cruise control didn't even work. We have put 3,000 miles on this car and it was back in the shop today due to clunking noise when shifted from park and the fact that sometimes when started it chugs and dies. I later foung out that the axle shafts are shot. This is a brand new car that I bought to try to avoid the weekly trips to the repair shop. We bought the 2.4L sedan and I would not recomend it to anyone even though I do love the way it handles and the gas milage is great I am just thanking my lucky stars that we bought the 100,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty.

A Dream to Drive

I ordered the Sebring Limited Hardtop Convertible with all the options in Oct. 2007 and didn't get it until New Year's Eve day, but it was well worth the wait. Have not had any problems with the car at all. Only downside (which is mimimal) is there are no window controls in the rear seat. Everyone that sees the car falls in love with it. Would definately recommend to anyone.

Bad luck?

I guess I had bad luck because I sprung and bought a 2008 Chrysler Sebring Convertible and have had NOTHING but PROBLEMS. Don't get me wrong I love how the car looks and the gas mileage isn't too bad. However mine has under 20,000 miles on it and it's been in the shop non-stop. I feel like the transmission could go out on me anyday and I've already had to have a new radiator installed and other parts replaced. I purchased this vehicle to get a new car with no miles and start fresh with less problems and have had the opposite effect. Maybe a got a lemon but either way I am very disappointed. In the long run it seems as though I've wasted some hard earned money on something that may never work correctly...

great car

This is a very stylish car, I've had nothing but positive comments from friends and co workers. I do quite a bit of highway driving and get better than posted gas milage (6.6 l/100kms hwy), even driving at slightly above the speed limit. The interior features are easy to reach and understand. I love the analog clock (nice touch), and the 60/40 rear seat when folded adds a lot of cargo space to the already ample trunk. The car handles very well, and has plenty of acceleration for passing. This vehicle is a 2.7 l Limited, flex fuel model. I would not hesitate recommending it to anyone.

Great Convertible

I?ve had my 08 Limited Sebring hardtop convertible since November. I love this car. As I look at all the cars on the roads, none come close to the class and style of this automobile. After reading some reviews late last year, I was hesitant about my consideration in purchasing the Sebring convertible and decided to go look at it and test drive it for myself. I?m sure glad I did. The car handles the roads very well and driving it on the interstate is like riding in a low-flying airplane. The ride is incredible smooth and there?s virtually very little road noise. Both the body and the engine are nicely insulated to produce such an effect. It?s sometimes hard to believe this is a convertible. The feel of the car is very solid as attributed to the extra reinforcement for stiffness over rough roads. I?ve negotiated corners much faster that I would ever negotiate them during normal driving. I found that it corners like most other cars that I?ve been in. I found very little sway as some ?experts? say is more than usual. The interior is very stylish and the leather seats are of great quality. The dash and instrument panel are nicely appointed. I had a 300M that incorporated more padding in the dash and doors where the Sebring does use the harder type of plastic, although it still has aesthetic appeal. The 3.5L engine does a super job of handling this size automobile. There?s power to spare and there have been times when I was glad I had that extra power to handle some situations with moving traffic. It?s not sport car by any means but a super touring car that meets all my expectations for an exciting driving experience. Also, I put the hardtop up and down on the average of 3 times a day with no problems whatsoever. Washing this car is a breeze; I take it to the drive-thru carwashes and have had no problems. Test drive this car and I think you will be ?hooked?!

Very Stylish Car

My only issue is the placement of the wiper switch. Having driven a car with the shift on the column before, I have attempted a few times putting the wiper switch stalk into park.

THE BEST SEBRING CONVERTIBLE YET

I have owned underpowered Chrysler Sebring Convertibles before so I bought this 2008 Limited model with the 3.5 liter engine and 6 speed automatic transmission. This is a great power combination, fast off the line with plenty of power to spare for passing and climbing hills. Transmission is very smooth and you get a feel for it so you really do not need the clutchless feature to use the gears manually. My car has the electronic stability with positraction and the anti-locking breaks so it handles very well. No shaking or wobbling. This is not a Bimmer, it is a road cruiser and a whole lot of fun. The interior in my Limited is generally well appointed although there is much too much plastic for a car that cost $36-$38,000. I bought the soft top as I am a purist and it is lined beautifully, is very quiet and has some stiffening parts contained therein. The 18" wheels that are standard take away the top heavy look of the car and they are very quiet touring tires. That with the 18" aluminum wheels (non-chromed) look really sharp on the car. Overall, a really great car for the money - can start it or put the top down, too with the remote key fob. If anyone is looking for pure fun and a touch of class, the new 2008 Sebring Limited is the answer providing you buy either the Touring with the 3.5 engine option and 18" wheels or as standard equipment on the Limited.

Nice car but ehhh..

This car is actually nicer looking than people give it credit for. I was happy with the technology in the car and the car rides very well. However, after riding around in it for a few weeks I thought, is this car worth almost $30K and the answer is no. I feel it's a bit overpriced and where I live I don't see many on the road. That may be due to the price and the competition especially with the pontiac G6 being a hard top standard feature for under $30K
