New Dodge R/T 5.7 Hemi

I bought the car new from the dealer lot.Had all the options, nav.,sound, auto, pwr sunroof etc. etc..Basically all the upgrades. This car is all muscle on the hwy,it get's up and moves when you want it.The Hemi sounds sweet and runs great.130 mph...No problem getting there...easy 160 mph.I would have gotten there, but it was at night and it's just not smart to be doing that speed at night.Handle the curves,is a little different, the car is heavy and you make adjustments on steering for it.But it will handle them, just do not expect any quick turns on a dime, this car is a muscler beast.Gas mileage is good average 22-23 mpg at speeds of 65-70mph,long distance driving at freeway speeds. In town driving ,the mileage takes a good drop off 14-15mpg.The inside of the car is nothing but class, the layout of the dash is easy to view and easy to reach to use.The comfort is top notch for the long hauls, big people will enjoy the comfort of the front seats. Now the back seats are not bad either, just a little more work to get into them.Something Dodge needs to work on.One thing is for sure, Dodge got the look of this car perfect.Every place I have been or stopped at,people just want to look and talk about the car. That says it all right there.

2010 Challenger SE Rally Package

I love this car. I have gotten more compliments on this car, then all the cars I've every owned combined. I'm 6'4" and can get in and out of the car. The car rides great, has plenty power, and I can actually put things in the trunk. It has a bueatiful paint job. I guess my only complaint would be the car didn't come with diual exhaust, but I took care of that.

dream car

I just purchased a 2010 Dodge Challenger RT. I absolutley love this car. I look forward to driving it everyday. I almost bought one of these when I was a kid and now some 50 yearls later have the car I always wanted. I traded in a Chrysler 300c that I liked. I was surprised at how well the car drove and rode It has the looks of a sports car and the ride of a luxury sedan. So far, best car I have ever owned.

The Mistress: 2010 RT Classic B5 Blue Automatic

Waited 30+ years for a muscle car. This one is it. Better looking than Mustang & Camero. Bigger, more substantial. She is my Mistress, and my wife approves! I get looks from young, old, men, women and even a dog or two everywhere I go. Not as fast (0-60 or 1/4 mile) as competition, but it is dead sexy. Installed cat-back exhaust, cold air intake, throttle body spacer, T-handle shifter, racing pedals, underbody light kit, engine bay light kit & LED's around headlights. Fairly quiet ride except for 2100-2400 rpm range where Borla exhaust is resonating(but sounds so sweet). 18mpg in city, alot of 1-2 gear cruising in shopping centers & malls. 24 mpg hwy @ 78mph (gotta love MDS) 0-60 5.5 Top speed so far 130mph with plenty more to go Outward visibility is hampered a little when backing or parallel parking, but I installed round spot mirrors to help there. Trunk is huge. Controls & features easy to access and intuitive. ZERO problems in 5 months/7500 miles. Almost time to put up for the winter as she won't see snow or salt as long as I can help it. I love to give her a warm soapy bath then hand towel dry. Probably about $5000 more than competitors, but I wouldn't have it any other way. Not many Challengers out there and the B5 Blue is a beautiful color. Only change would be to have closer spacing on automatic's 1-2 gears & add user defined service intervals, like on my 2007 Pacifica.

Dodge Challenger 2010

Great car with lots of power for a 6 cyl. Everywhere I go people give me compliments and the last car I owed was a Mustang GT Convertable. It really gets 25 mpg on the highway! Lots of room and very stable.

2010 Challenger R/T in a Class by Itself

I driven alot of sports cars. The new Challenger doesn't seem to fit in the same class as the others. With the demise of most of the other V8 american made sedans both 2dr and 4dr, reviewers seem to think that the Challenger belongs in the pony car class. All the reviews I have read seemed to be determined to make comparisons between the new retro versions of the the other models grouping the Challenger in the same class. The Challenger is more like a mid-size 2dr with loads of trunk space, great driver and front passenger room with passable rear passenger room. Challenger is a breath of fresh air over other models as far as entry and exiting the cabin. Getting in and out of this car is easy for front seat occupants. I haven't tried the backseat. While you are in the driver seat there is plenty of room. Not the same feel of a pony car. The trunk space of the Challenger is awesome. There are not many cars where I can just drop my golf clubs in the trunk without having to angle them to make them fit. I'm talking about alot of mid-size sedans not the just the pony cars. Based on the dimensions alone the pony cars that are usually compared with the Challenger is reason enough in my opinion to remove the car from this group. Giving the size of the new Charger (2006-10) I would say that the Challenger would be a closer comparison as a 2 door version of this vehicle or at least somewhere in between. It really depends upon what you are looking for. I enjoy the performance and comfort aspect that the Challenger offers. Other aspects such as ample storage and the mid-size car feel of the Challenger puts it in a class of its own.

at the dealership every week...

where should i start... well first my battery died at like 600 or 900 miles had to drag it outta my garage. about 2000 miles shifter came loose, got it "tightened" at the dealer... next week it broke! went from first to second just fell! car was stuck in first gear! at about 2500 miles my rear started to wind in gear while driving. mind you didnt even get my first oil change. had a rattle under the dash. front tires feathering shimmy in steering wheel and got alil worse as you drove car longer same with rear also got louder and in waves. oh and i forgot to mention my battery started leaking. my local dealer gave my a hard time with fixing somethings and jerked me around. i am very disappointed with my SRT8 Challenger, it only has 3600 miles on it! its garaged always never sees the rain or bad weather what so ever! i even wash the inside of my wheels and calipers! and it still smells new inside! if you cant sense all the grief and aggravation this car has caused me i can go on but i wont. i just want this headache out my life. i would rather enjoy it then take it to a dealership for a problem. maybe alot of Challenger owners are not having issues, you are all lucky! cause i do when im not having a problem...

I finally got one.

This car turned out to be more comfortable than I thought. The ride is as smooth as a big luxury car. The handling is solid and is a step up if you are trading up from a used car. The mileage is less than the front wheel drive cars, but that is a small price to pay for the uniqueness of a muscle car. I have the six cylinder engine and it is robust enough for a daily driver. It has plenty of pickup for standard driving conditions. The trunk is huge combined with the fold down seats makes the car very useful.

Challenger Revisited

When looking for a new vehicle we checked out several things: price, warrenty, safety, and comfort. I'm 6'2" my wife is 5'1" so we do test fit cars. We settled on the Challenger for several reasons. Safety: airbags not just in the front, but side curtain. Reinforced steel in the doors for side protection and extensive crumple zones fron and rear. Comfort: Both of us could fit with the 8-way power seat and telescoping steeering wheel. The headrests were a porpblem form my wife, too much pitch, We found this everywhere, but our dealer's aftermarket guy saw the problem, redid the posts under the headrests and now they are perfecrt- no charge. The Rally Package makes the car a real looker. Add to that the black metallic pearl finish and the cars has a brilliant shine. The high-output V6 (4 valves per cylinder) will move the car without the higher gas costs or insurance cost. The car has the agility of a cat and will hit 80 before you know it. The chassis of the Challenger and Viper are fine tuned at performance road course in Texas. I entend to take my car their to cheek out her roots. Great looks, great ride, and great value for fun driving. A young woman told me after admiring my Challenger said this,"If a girl had that, she wouldn't need a guy."
