Excellent Ride!

It really meets both my wife and my needs. Plenty of room and travels excellent even in the worst of snow. My wife liked it so well she bought on like it for her schedule which is different than mine. Even in medical emergencies as a med professional (my wife) it meets and exceeds all our needs!

Most unreliable vehicle I have ever owned ...

It's made up of parts from different vehicles. It a Frankenstein. It's gave me alot of problems .and cost on repairs. Engine and transmission are cheaply made

Exceptional suv 4x4 great milage

Good transportation very little mantanance needed. Great in snow, gas mileage is good that being said and the price of gas raising. This suv would make a wonderful second family vehicle or a starter for a young or new driver.

Would consider another

Trans went out at 145,000 miles. Understand that it's a known problem. After transmission it was good suv. Great small Suv, would purchase another if I didn't need a larger SUV finally let go for parts at 195,000 miles

2001 Ford Escape XLT

I've owned this car for over 11 years it's been a good car but it's not made to have a lot of miles on it. Since it's gotten to be an older car the same Parts constantly break on it and even my mechanic said that it's poorly made on some of the parts for when it gets to be up in mileage.

205,000 miles and still kickin

I got this car my junior year of high school at 173,000 miles and now I am a senior and it has 205,000 miles. it is a good car, and very durable. The inside is cheap and there is plenty of rust but for the cargo space and fuctionality this car has it is well worth it. Has been a problem with rough idle but besides that no real problems at all.

Ran Almost Forever

The Escape was a pleasure to drive. With its V6 motor, it had lots of get up and go. I mistreated it, never really took care of it, and it had over 200,000 miles when I finally sold it.

My Escape was one of my favorite cars.

I fell in love with a SUV named the Ford Escape. It joined the ranks of the three favorite cars I ever owned. It was difficult keeping the Escape to myself because I had a teen-aged son who coveted it. It never let me down during bad weather with ice and snow. It kept me warn and dry in winter and cool and comfortable during summer. Neighbors mentioned how much they liked my car. I have very fond memories of my black Escape.

Ford Escape

Awesome SUV, best I've ever owned, except the alternator being in the back. Will purchase another. Very reliable. Engineering well thought out, everything is within reach for driver. Enough leg room for adults in back seat. Fun 4 wheel drive-

Practical and Cheap

I think this car is nice for the price. You're not gonna find a early 2000's Escape for more than a couple grand usually. However, you DO get what you pay for. Nearly every surface in the interior is hard plastic, even in higher trims. Seats are marginally comfortable and the interior is plenty roomy, for both passengers and cargo. As far as driving goes, the V6 engine is good for hauling cargo and accelerating quickly, although there is some delay in the throttle response. It's not the most reliable car out there; I had to replace the engine and the shifter cable. But, for under a couple thousand dollars, it's a perfectly acceptable ride
