over 220K miles and the only thing I've had to replace is the battery and alternator, serpentine belt, spark plug and gasket( which I'm proud to say I did myself). As with any car it has its particular problems to look out for but if you do regular maintenance this vehicle lasts.watch out for the rear wheel wells the 1st gens are known to deteriorate

Great car,over 300.

Great car, over 300.000 miles. So far just routine maintenance, still going strong, burns a little oil But that can be expected for a car of this age and miles

Originally was parents company car they bought when contract ended and then sold to me back in 2009 with around 98k on it. I've put on 65,000 in the last 15 years and spent maybe 6k on repairs. Overall the car has been solid, value wise I can't complain and probably lasts another 200,000 and 20 years.

326,429 miles and still going strong...

Got it used at 139,000 miles. Had it for 5 years and put over 200,000 miles on it. Some rusting and it rides a bit rough but it's a dependable car overall. Considering the sporadic maintenance it receives its still on the road.

Very good car, reliable

I have really liked this car, since the first time I saw it, I was determined to own one, I saw this one at my mechanic, and fell in love with it immediately. I have had it a year now, and still love it.

Only two owners, regular oil changes

Great car we have just out grown it. We have put a lot of work in it to make sure it keeps driving well. This car is very reliable.

322, 165 miles and still going

I brought it used with 98,000 miles on it 4 years ago and it still runs well. I have some cosmetic issues from wear and tear from kids but have had no major mechanical issues. I plan to buy a new car soon but will keep my Ford as a second car.

Great car for first time drivers. Or all!

Got it summer of 2015 with 160k 2004 xlt V6. It’s now 8/26/19 with 227k and still going very strong. Just got my breaks changed and the mechanic that’s serviced the car since I got it said “man this just won’t break huh” I said nope he’s a tank” as long as you drive easy and keep it’s oil changed this suv is a tank. 4WD has saved my life in the snow. And hauled a whole rooms worth of stuff from collage and back. FIND ONE AND KEEP IT!
