Reliable

This escape meets all my needs. It has a lot of leg room in the front and back. The ride is very smooth and seems it was well taken care of.

Very versatile, great teenager car

I love how it can be a great camping car, but also nice drive around town car. It has minimal blind spots and was easy to drive.

Versatile, Powerful and Reliable

Equipped with the roof-rails, tow package, 4x4 drive-train, and 3.0L DuraTec V6, this vehicle is versatile, peppy, reliable, tough, and fun to drive. Reasonably good economy (23mpg highway). Short wheel-base means great maneuverability. We bought ours used with 92K on the odometer, added 120K trouble-free miles with only routine maintenance (brakes, battery, etc.), and the vehicle is running very strong. After replacing the six coil-on-plug (COP) and spark plugs at 200K, the engine seems ready for another 200K, with the energy of a lab puppy. By the way, our two dogs love the Escape (hatchback, easy access).

Tough little SUV

This car weathered a lot of storms and never let me down. Even after a punishing accident, it kept running and running. An excellent vehicle!

Very Reliable Car Drove over 150,000 miles

I like the look and feel of the Escape before they turned it into a minivan oh I mean "crossover" in 2013. I had my 2004 Escape for over 10 years and it was fun to drive. It got me through a lot of dangerous weather. I had to clean up some rust and replace parts here and there, but nothing major in the 10 years we owned it.
