I was never notified about recalls

I was never notified of any of these recalls and almost everything listed is what is wrong with my vehicle. This is my car that i transport my kids to school in and go to work in. I cannot afford these repairs.

The worst car I've ever owned! Piece of junk

I transport my 86 year old mother to Dr applications and granddaughter to school.I feel like my 2006 car problems have cost me more that it's worth. By Ford motor co wasn't nice knowing you.Im a 62 year old disabled person someone should be held accountable, so why isn't Ford doing something about it?

I love this car

I love the Escape. I have always been a Chevy girl but the Escape was the right price (used). It's now 13 years old and the a/c has gone and it needed a new transmission BUT... it is seriously one of the best cars I've ever owned. Repairs have been mostly reasonable wear and tear (brakes, muffler) except the transmission (and, to be fair, had I taken it in when the noise first started I probably wouldn't have had to replace it). The a/c is gone which makes summer driving unbearable but otherwise, I will keep driving this car. It's got plenty of leg and head room. I'm a rather large woman but am perfectly comfortable in it.

One of the best vehicles I have ever purchased.

I have only had the vehicle a few days and already I love it. There are no blind spots with this 2006 Ford Escape. Great leg room, comfortable seating for five, dashboard and controls are stylish with that expensive car look. All wheel drive and the body lines are first class. What a beautiful SUV.

Sad example of bean counters

This suv is a tin can.I drive a winter beater and this is my latest.140 k and there are more leaks than a rusty old ship.I?ll fix some and just keep topping up the others. It is a 2006 xlt with leather,auto,4x4 v6.Sunroof cruise etc.The interior seems like a toy car,all plastic. The seats are ok,but that?s it.The engine is rough on a cold start, and burns more fuel than my v70 r with 300hp.I bought it cheap, but I sure feel sorry for anyone who bought one of these new. It?s a throw away car.

2006 Ford Escape - 4x4 XLS

Purchased the vehicle in 2016, when it was 10 years old. Had low mileage, so I figured it would be worth it. 2 years down the road, everything started falling apart. Engine light came on, no one could pinpoint the issue. Reliability-wise, it wasn't the best vehicle. But it was definitely a fun drive.

Most durable car I owned

Had it for 10 years and it has not given me any big problems. Great starter car for kids. We drove cross country with it. Used it for commuting and family trips.
